My wife has been suffering from this of what I’ve been reading. She has OCD even when she’s not pregnant. She’s 6 & 1/2 months pregnant now & she has an overwhelming fear of harming our 2yr old. She has horrible nighmares, she has horrible panic attacks where she says she feels like she can’t breathe, she’ll throw up & she’s losing weight instead of gaining it. She’s kind of small by nature anyway. Has any other women out there experienced something like this before? What can be done for this?

Everybody can benefit from exercise, even those who are handicapped. The elderly would exhibit health improvements when performing low-impact exercises. Pregnant women would also benefit from low-impact aerobic exercises. Those who practice aerobics while pregnant would experience easier labor and child-birth.
There are also studies that showed women who have been performing aerobic exercises have reduced risk of undergoing caesarean operation/ surgery, quicker recovery whether it is physical or from postpartum depression. These women would also shed pounds gained during pregnancy, faster. Overall, women would testify that they had healthier pregnancy compared with other women.

Pregnancy massage, also known as prenatal massage, is very effective in treating physical pain and discomfort experienced during pregnancy. A massage and always makes you feel relaxed, so the emotional stress opposes same time. Here I give a word of caution. Prenatal massage should not play with. There are specific techniques that are used to massage pregnant women, and if not done correctly, can lead to complications.
Prenatal massage is different from cases in various forms of massage. First, it is important that the masseuse who is familiar with the human body and pregnant women to avoid accidentally damaging the fetus. How the mother to be placed is critical to the safety of mother and fetus. Please note that pregnant women should be supported with pillows and other padding to provide comfort and ensure that they are not subjected to undue stress. The clothes you wear depends entirely on the level of comfort that you share with your therapist. Tight clothing is not recommended.

Always trying to learn whatever I can about panic attacks, and always thinking outside of the box, I came upon some interesting information regarding the potential role of prenatal and perinatal happenings in the generation of panic. It’s pretty heady stuff, and I wanted to share it with you.
First of all, let’s get some terminology handled. Prenatal psychology considers the psychological and psychophysiological impact of an individual’s before-birth experience. While perinatal psychology deals with the same impact considerations from the perspective of the birth, and immediately after, experience. The presentation of assorted psychopathology, including panic, due to both prenatal and perinatal experience has been documented in research, as well as in clinical practice. Impacting factors, and some of these are going to come off as really wild, may include…
Prenatal
Immediate-family emotional trauma
An unplanned or unwanted pregnancy
Severe maternal emotional trauma
High levels of maternal stress
Maternal substance abuse
A violent outside-of-the-womb environment
