Aggression, anxiety, Asperger syndrome .. (please help, please help)?
Aggression, anxiety, Asperger syndrome, depression, attention-deficit disorder, and attachment disorder are all diagnoses which describe a(n):
A)
chromosomal deficiency.
B)
consequence of prenatal drug exposure.
C)
biological anomaly.
D)
consequence of a postnatal injury.
I think B but i’m not sure. Any help ?
Thank you!!!

The most fascinating thing about them is 5 out of 6 start with the letter A.
It is not B (that’s more like fetal alcohol syndrome)
Chromosomal deficiency implies a gross mutation, and most of these are not developmental disorders.
Biological anomaly – they are that, though I wouldn’t describe them at such an inclusive level.
It’s not D either (that’s more like cerebral palsy)
So I guess it’s C.
–edit–
dbraunofva, you are right that attachment disorder is postnatal but it’s not injury, and Asperger’s is a form of autism of which there are many possible genetic causes, some of them chromosomal (but that doesn’t mean AS is chromosomal). I think the question is asking about them as a group, however.

I see, so all but one of those choices listed is a cause – biological anomaly is a description instead.
None of them sound right to me. Asperger’s is currently thought to be a problem with gene expression, but I don’t remember reading that the problem can be caused by the mother’s use of drugs. It’s more likely an environmental problem damaging the chromosomes of the parents long before conception.
Attachment disorder is the result of parental neglect, I thought.
I know the question was about all of them as a group; I was pointing out that two of them had two different causes, so none of the choices could be correct for all of them. And I didn’t imply that attachment disorder was an injury–that’s not what I meant by parental neglect.
