Calcium and Magnesium for Leg Cramps?
My prenatal has 200 mg calcium and 100 mg magnesium. The Natural Calm has 400 mg magnesium and 200 mg calcium.
This has totally relieved my leg cramps, lessened anxiety, and has made me feel SO much better!
Has anyone taken CalMag or Natural Calm or something like it (calcium and magnesium powder that you mix in hot water) for leg cramps?
Do you take it along with your pre-natal?
From what you’ve heard/read, are these acceptable numbers for these minerals? Is it too much?
I’ll ask my doc when I see her next month, but for now, I just want other people’s experiences and opinions!

I have taken Cal Mag along with my prenatal and my midwife said that it was fine, but found that I wasn’t absorbing it. Some people absorb different calcium’s better. I ended up switching to garden of life living calcium. It really works well but is a whole lot more expensive. As long as the Cal Mag is working I would sick with it. Ask your doctor about it when you see her, but I don’t think there is a problem.
