I am nervous about my first prenatal appt?

I am afraid of what the outcome will be.. I just need to know a few general ideas of what is expected to happen? Also I am trying to figure which date is my actual last period?? I had implantation bleeding on Feb 13 and the last real one was Jan 18..Which one would it be?? Answers please I need some of this anxiety to be eased!!

Calm down, the doctors are there to help you
I was nervous too. I can’t help you about your last missed period ordeal but I will tell you that they will give you an ultrasound to measure the baby and they can determine how far along you are from that and then they will give you a due date by that. For me, my first appt. consisted of an ultrasound to measure baby to see when my due date was, listening to the heartbeat, and some blood tests to check for STDS. No need to stress

There is nothing to stress out about! At my first appointment (and every appointment that I go to) they have me pee in a cup as soon as I get there, to check my different levels (iron, protein, etc), they’ll check your weight, blood pressure, and temperature and then take you into a room. Your doctor will come in and probably preform a breast exam, a pap smear, and also do an ultrasound. My baby was too small for a normal ultrasound, so he had to do a vaginal one. This was slightly uncomfortable since they had to stick it up me, but it was well worth it to see my baby! They’ll get an estimate due date (I couldn’t remember the date of my actual last period either, I told them and gave them my best guess). You might have a blood test done as well, but other then that it’s really nothing to worry about. Just take a deep breath and you’ll be fine! Congrats!!!
