Postpartum depression typically happens earlier, but it CAN happen anytime in the first year of baby's life. I had it as well, and it didn't start until my son was 8 months old. Find someone (other than your spouse) that you can talk to about this - even see a counselor if needed. That's what it took for me :) My husband is amazing, but I needed to talk to someone who had been through the same sort of hormonal changes that I had been.

You may also just be in a funk. Make some time for yourself - having that bath was a good start :) Good luck!

Post pardon depression would have set in a lot sooner. It sounds like you need a break. Being a full-time mom is a very hard job. I find that spending time without my kids away from home is an essential part of what keeps me sane. :) Even if its just a trip to the grocery store or to the library to study it feels refreshing to be away from the kids for a little while and have some peace and quiet. It gets easier as they get older and are able to do more for themselves. Hang in there :)

You have realized that being a single parent is a lot more work. You are over tired and need a break Simple as that. For more then a year you have not done anything just for you. Ask your partner to mind the kids for 3 days and go find some place to relax. Go home to mom and let her pamper you,. Take some serious time for YOU and recharge your batteries
