panic attacks and bout 7 months pregs!!!! : (?
ive had panic attacks alot recently since my son had a febrile seizure….and now its just wearing me out….besides the fact that im anemic ..im just soo tired…i had my first panic attack in my sleep tonight and it scared the shit out of me…i woke up sweaty with my heart pounding and i couldn’t slow it down right away ..it was so scary ..i though i was having a heart attack! im just so tired of anxiety and panic but i got over them b4 ..but its harder ..i dunno is it because im pregnant! im a huge hypochondriac…im just scared of everything..and now its my anemia thats scaring em..i don’t even know if im that low i take 2 iron pills a day and prenatal! like the doc prescribed…i just need tips on ways to calm myself down!

my doc prescribed 2 irons a day …one at lunch one at dinner …some ppl take 3 if they really anemic and kids outgrow their febrile seizures by 5 yrs just to let u know

kids outgrow febrile seizures by 1 year old, then you dont have to worry about it so much..2 iron pills a day, is way to much, you may send yourself into shock..just take 1

I’ve been there the panic attacks are beyond horrible.Not sure if you might want to consider this but it helped me, my clients and my friends.It is the Attacking Anxiety program from the midwest center for anxiety. You can look it up on the internet or you can buy it for much cheaper on ebay should you decide too.
I heard about this from a friend and i decided to give it a honest try .
In all honesty the results were there withing days.
In addition to that i found that it helped if you can eat little to no refined sugars ( i know it might be hard and practically impossible seeing as you are pregnant and have cravings still), and i switched to non processed food as much as i could and tryied to stick to as much organic as possible.
Try to exercise even if it’s just light walking , when you feel panic comming your way look at green things ( trees , grass – it is supposed to calm you down), try aromatherapy ( chamomille roman , lavander citrus – whatever you think works for you really), another good remedy i can suggest is tea – decafeinated ( valerian or camomille – does not have to be warm in fact it would be better if it’s not hot)
To slow your heart rate you will find that a COLD COLD glass of water helps.
To slow heat rate during panic attacks you can also stimulate your vag nerve by applying pressure on your eyelids (not for too long and i would not recommend trying this if you are not sure about how to do it)
A great exercise you can try to calm yourslef down is 54321.
You start by saying out loud 5 things that you can see then 4 then 3 2 1,then you say out loud 5 things that you can hear ( 5,4,3,2,1) , then 5 (4,3,2,1) things you can feel.
I know it might sound silly but give it a honest try and you’ll notice that it does work.
Last but not least don’t worry …panic attacks can not kill you
