You should discuss this with your doctor and midwife. It would be best to not induce until the baby is ready to come into the world . . . but whether you opt to induce or not, they can refer you to someone to help with the potential depression.
Good luck!
You should wait till atleast 38 weeks because your baby will have to be in carea nd hooked up to moniters because his lungs arent fully developed at 34 weeks. Its not safe to have a baby that early and very few people get induced that early. Usually only for medical reasons. most midwives/obs wont induce till 39 weeks
A midwife can’t induce you, you need a specialist opinion and directions that a midwife follows. (I have been induced so I know) If you think you may suffer from post natal depression after the birth you need to speak up now to your Doctor and tell them you are worried and depressed already. The thing about Pnd is you need to get help, either medication or counselling or both. I have suffered Pnd with both children I am pregnant again and the Doctors aren’t even waiting for the two weeks to assess me, they will do it after 5 days because that seems to be when I start going down hill. Pnd is only a worry if you do nothing about it. GO directly for help and tell somebody that can help you now.
no sweetie!!!!! they are not even considered term until 37 weeks! listen, i went into premature labour at 30 weeks, and had him at 35 weeks. He was way too small (even at 35 weeks)! Listen, I know its hard, and you’re missing your old body, and you might feel like you have to pop, but now you are a mom. You have to do what is best for your precious little one. Full term is always best for the baby. It is not safe at 34,35,36,or even 37! There is complications for you AND your baby. You baby could die if you induce your labor too soon! And I doubt if you can find a midwife to do it. It is definately not something you should be thinking about. I’m telling you, you should be cherishing this last few 2 and a half months…..bond with your baby, feel his or her movements, and GET SOME REST!!!! lol. I know you can’t wait for this to be over, but take this time to make time for YOU, and do things you want to do….like taking a luxourious bath, or taking naps when you want to…..u know? Just ….breathe…..and take it easy.
I don’t think you should get induced. But you should talk to your doctor or midwife though, there are certain types of anti-depressants that are safe to take while you are pregnant.
I totally agree with jada and tys mommy, It is not safe at 34 weeks to have a baby. Trust me you will enjoy not being big anymore but when you have no sleep you’ll be wishing you were pregnant again just to get some sleep.
