I bought the Sonoline B Fetal Prenatal doppler but when I went to review it to show the `verified purchase’ the page has been removed. Since I own the same item and bought it from Amazon I am placing my review here.
Within the user manual it states the device is “Suitable for use after the 12th week of pregnancy”. Please remember each pregnancy is different. Our bodies are different. Some women claim them have heard a heartbeat as early as 9 weeks. I personally tried this around 12 weeks or so. Please keep in mind that when using this at the early stages you need to place it near your pelvic bone and move it slowly back and forth. A lot of woman try it around their belly buttons but the only beat you will find there is your own pulse/heartbeat. At the early stages the `heartbeat’ I found was really low and I was concerned. Now that many weeks have passed and learning how to use the device I feel more comfortable. I am now 17 weeks and I used the Doppler yesterday and the monitor read the heartbeat to be around 151 to 158.
I bought this device to give me peace of mind but please realize it is for home use only and is not a medical device. The first few times I used it and heard what I thought was a low heartbeat I was scared. I was all worked up. Now at 17 weeks I can clearly find the heartbeat and it is strong.
UPDATE: I am now 22 weeks and this device picks up the heartbeat each time! I noticed another reviewer stated she had a 2 MHZ probe. That is misleading since this is listed as 3MHZ. If you want to know what you have, on the probe itself, it will say CD3.0 (for 3MHZ). Also, when you turn on the unit it will display 3MHZ in the lower right corner. I will try to take a video of the unit itself. I am a single parent so I cannot demonstrate it sadly.
Another thing I forget to mention, the doppler will ALWAYS reset to 125 (bpm). When looking for the heartbeat it will start at 125 and if it goes lower it and cannot locate it, it resets to 125 again. Same as going up. If it reads 130 + but cannot lock in on the heartbeat, boom, it resets back to 125. You know you have located the heartbeat when you hear it but also the display will show a heart in the upper left. I would go based on the sound rather than the display on the heart in case it is not locked in. Once locked in by sound the display for me reads 150+ and might go up or down just a few digits.
The thing I love about this monitor over others in the market is it is perfect for the single parent. I live alone and owned another Doppler that you had to hold down low and the other unit read the heartbeat on the device. I could not see what it was reading unless I looked in the mirror. With this one you can hold the probe to locate the heartbeat and have the monitor conveniently at your side to read the display. I know a lot of people use the ultrasound gel that is sold on Amazon, however, I bought a bottle and was not impressed with it. I personally prefer something a little more slicker so the probe can glide over the uterus. I have been using a KY lubricant and it works great and does not dry out as quickly as the standard gels. Without the gels/lubricant you will not be able to hear the heartbeat. Be sure to order or have some on hand if the one you purchase does not come with a trial.
Now that I have owned this device for weeks and knowing how to properly use it I give it 4 stars. I deduct one star for the fact that at 12 weeks not everybody will find their baby’s heartbeat but give it time. As stated above I used it yesterday and just seeing the heartbeat at a high number and also hearing it does make you feel better. I will continue to use this throughout my pregnancy and know that each week the heartbeat will be easier to locate and hear. For the price and if used properly I don’t think you can beat it.

I am 26 weeks pregnant and decided to purchase this doppler so that my husband and I can hear our son’s heartbeat each night. We love this easy-to-use product! I didn’t use gel at first and we were unable to detect a heartbeat. Instead of buying Ultrasound gel, we used KY jelly. It works great! We can hear the heart beat loud and clear whenever we want! This is also wonderful for our parents, as this is our first baby. Everyone is able to hear with the speaker, which I love! Most dopplers I’ve seen require the use of headphones, and while this product does have an adapter for headphones too, it isn’t the only option, making it great to share with others. I would recommend this product to others any time! It was purchased for less than $70 and is something that we will use daily! We checked into renting one, but at $28-$50 dollars a month, it didn’t make sense when we could own a doppler! I love the easy to read screen with displays the heartbeat so there is no guessing! Great buy!

I received my doppler today and it was a 2mhz. I am very disappointed and will be returning this incorrect item.

I was also disappointed with my purchase. When you place an order, you expect to receive what you paid for. However, I received a 2 MHZ doppler instead of the 3. I see that I am not the only one this happened too, though when I called Amazon they said this was an isolated incident and I should send mine back for a refund and then re-order the SAME item. I asked what guarantee would be made that I would get the 3 MHZ this time instead of the 2, and he just said sending the wrong item “rarely” hapens and I should get the correct item next time. Well, I am skeptical.. especially after reading that this has happened to others
( Amazon blamed it on the supplier sending the wrong thing, but I think they should verify what is being sent out before completing the transaction. I had called the supplier first and they blamed it on Amazon, saying “Amazon fulfilled this order so (I) should call them with my complaint.” Very, very disappointing. Hopefully the money will be returned to me after they receive this back. I did get a complimentary label to mail the item back, but it is still time consuming for me to package it, and drive down to the post office to mail it. That’s just not great business.

I ordered this with the intention of getting the product exactly how I read about it, when I received it they mest up and gave me a 2MHz instead of 3MHz. I clearly seen it said “3MHz” my damn order receipt even said 3MHz. This is ridiculous, PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
