With a global worth estimated at billion, the market for Omega 3 fatty acids continues to grow as more scientific evidence bolstering a myriad of potential benefits for health is made public.1 The research being published stresses theimportance of Omega-3 fatty acidsnot only for maintaining overall heart health but also for reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Additionally, Omega-3 is thought to playa crucial role in improving eye and brain development in the formative years of life (prenatal and early childhood)andin the cognitive brain functions of the elderly.2-4Emerging studies on Omega-3 fatty acids continue to reveal new benefits that go well beyond supporting heart and brain health. Scientists now believe that the two most important Omega-3 fatty acids– eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)–may play a prophylactic role in almost every human disorder.Emerging Roles of Omega3 fatty acidsCancer PotentialNew evidence from researchsuggestsa role forOmega-3 in the prevention and therapy of certain types of cancers. In Japan, epidemiological studies showed an increase in the incidence of breast cancer in people who shifted from the traditional Japanese diet consisting primarily of fish, to a more westernized diet and lifestyle. Since then, several studies have confirmed an association between the consumption of Omega-3s with a decreased risk of breast, prostate, colon and kidney cancers. Scientists theorize that Omega-3s may actually work to oppose the proliferation of cancer cells, but more research is needed to know just how the components of EPA and DHA work together and which ones play a crucial role. Studies also suggest that Omega-3 supplements may work in synergy with chemotherapeutic drugs to helpreverse the side effects of chemotherapy, as well as prolong patient life.5-7Potential Protection against InflammationReducing neural inflammation and increasing anti-apoptotic mediators, Omega-3 fatty acids exhibit potential benefits for professional athletesengaged in contact sports where head injuries typically occur. Statistics show that repeated sports-related concussions may result in higher risks of depression and mild cognitive impairment which is a precursor of Alzheimer’s disease. Initial studies conducted by the West Virginia School of Medicine, shows that DHA supplementation may help to reduce the production of amyloid precursor protein (APP) following traumatic brain injuries. It was also seen to reduce bio-markers associated with neural inflammations and cell death (apoptosis).8The anti-inflammatory properties of Omega-3s have shown benefits for people who suffer from joint discomforts by reducing joint stiffness and pain, increasing grip strength and improving walking pace in people who have arthritis. In some cases, supplementation is associated with lowered use of anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).9A number of clinical trials have assessed the benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids in several inflammatory and autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis and migraine headaches.10Potential Immune BoosterExpectant mothers taking 400 mg of DHA were seen to have babies with stronger immune protection against colds than babies of mothers who did not take any DHA supplementation, according to the Journal of Pediatrics. Data from the study shows at one month, babies whose mothers took DHA supplementation were seen to have experienced 26%, 15% and 30% shorter duration of cough, phlegm and wheezing respectively. At six months of age, DHA babies had 20 % shorter duration of suffering from fever, 13% shorter duration with a runny nose, and 54 % shorter duration with breathing difficulties.11Potential Benefits againstCellular AgingPeople diagnosed with heart disease and had high levels of DHA in their blood were seen to have longer telomeres than those with low levels of DHA in their blood. Telomeres are the protective ends of chromosomes. Scientists have long observed the association between the length of telomeres and cellular aging. When telomeres become short, the cell is no longer able to reproduce itself and becomes apoptotic. Shorter telomeres are associated with higher cardiac mortality and other undesirable consequences of aging.12Omega-3s may help reduce the risk of degenerative muscle loss in the elderly. The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (2011) reported a 400 mg daily dose of Omega-3s was seen to increase the rate of muscle protein synthesis, thereby increasing the production of muscle protein. The eight-week study also observed an increase in thesupply of amino acids and insulin in the elderly.13Potential Mood StabilizerA new study published in Brain, Behavior and Immunity reports a reduction of anxiety and inflammation fromOmega-3 supplementation. Cytokines are compounds that promote inflammation. Cytokine production is known to increase with psychological stress. The study, conducted by researchers of Ohio State University, studied stress levels and cytokine levels in a group of young, healthy medical students appearing for their medical exams. Those receiving Omega-3 supplements showed a 20 percent reduction in anxiety compared to the placebo group. The study conductedalso showed a reduction in the level of cytokines in the body, thus showing the potentially positive influence of Omega-3s on anxiety and inflammation.14Sources of Omega-3 Fatty AcidsLook for high-quality Omega-3 manufacturers that have a wide range of source options such as:

Krill (rich in phospholipids, Omega 3 fatty acids and an antioxidant called astaxanthin), is found abundantly in seawater–up to 30,000 creatures in one cubic meter. Algae-sourced Omega 3 fatty acids, an environment-friendly, vegetarian source of Omega-3s. Green lipped mussel, an eco-friendly seafood rich in Omega-3s.Plant-based sources such as flax seeds that contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) are popular but concerns conversion ratio of ALA into DHA and EPA is considered to be poor. However, ongoing research on bio-engineering plant-based sources of Omega-3 from canola and soy is leading to greater, innovative delivery options for Omega-3 manufacturing.Manufacturing Omega-3 SupplementsIn addition to providing your customers with the aforementioned health benefits, adding Omega-3 supplements to your existing product line may improve your bottom line:The Omega-3 ingredient market in the U.S. is expected to grow 40 percent between 2010 and 2015.15The percentage of adults taking fish oil supplements has soared from 8% in 2006 to 17% in 2011, making Omega-3 one of the most sought-after dietary supplements.16Contact Omega-3 manufacturers that offer a range of customizable options for GMP-certified manufacturing of high-quality fish oil supplements. References:Omega-3 Foods and Beverages in the U.S, 3rd Edition,Packaged Facts Projects, June 1, 2011. packagedfacts.com/about/release.asp?id=2000Omega-3 dietary supplements and the risk of cardiovascular events: a systematic review.
With numerous guidelines being written on the importance and benefits of breastfeeding, more and more mothers are becoming aware of how beneficial it is to nurse their babies. However, it seems that the benefits of breastfeeding to a mother isn’t as well publicised, for many mothers still view breastfeeding as a sacrificial practice almost akin to martyrdom.

Far from it, mothers stand to gain just as much from breastfeeding their babies. Breastfeeding is beneficial to mothers as it reduces their risk factors for developing certain medical conditions and diseases later in life. It is beneficial for helping mothers regain their pre-pregnant figure more quickly – something that is bound to attract the attention of many post-partum mothers. Breastfeeding also has psychological and financial benefits.

Here are the 17 benefits that breastfeeding offers to nursing mothers:

The baby’s suckling action triggers the release of the hormone oxytocin which produces the letdown reflex (a process whereby the breast releases its stored milk to the baby). Oxytocin also causes contraction of the uterus which is important during postpartum healing as it reduces the risk of bleeding and promotes the return of the uterus to its original shape and size.Breastfeeding delays the return of menstruation. Mothers who formula feed their babies usually observe a return of their periods within 6-8 weeks postpartum. A breastfeeding mother can expect to delay the return of her period for months up to a year and beyond. This helps a mother maintain her stores of iron and helps to reduce her risk of developing iron deficient anaemia.Breastfeeding reduces a mother’s fertility by preventing ovulation. This can help delay further pregnancies and allow her body to recover before being taxed again with another pregnancy. It is important to note, however, that the period of reduced fertility depends on the mother, her baby and their nursing patterns. There is evidence that breastfeeding may provide a mother protection against breast, uterine and ovarian cancers.A common misconception is that breastfeeding increases a mother’s risk of osteoporosis, however, studies have found the converse to be true. While a mother’s stores of calcium are reduced during breastfeeding, it was found that bone density return to normal levels and even increased after weaning, thus providing extra protection against osteoporosis.Breastfeeding has been shown to reduce a mother’s risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis. Some studies also show that breastfeeding helps to reduce a mother’s risk of developing heart disease, heart attacks and stroke.Breastfeeding also reduces the risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.Breastfeeding releases the prolactin – a hormone responsible for milk production. Prolactin also has a calming and sedating effect on a nursing mother. This relaxes the mother, helps her get back to sleep quickly after a night-time feed and may be helpful in combating the baby blues and potential postnatal depression. Studies show that mothers who breastfeed are less likely to suffer from postpartum anxiety and depression. It has been shown that breastfeeding strengthens the bond between a mother and her baby. This can help first time mothers adapt to the role of motherhood more easily. Studies have also shown that mothers with a history of abandonment are less likely to leave their babies if they breastfeed them.Breastfed babies are less likely to fall ill which offers mothers greater peace of mind. Something must be said about the benefit of not having to deal with the added stress of living with a child with recurrent illness.Breastfeeding can consume an extra 200-500 calories a day (the equivalent of swimming 30 laps or riding a bicycle up a hill for an hour). This helps a mother return to her pre-pregnant weight more quickly and easily.During pregnancy, fat is stored around the waist and hip areas to protect the baby and womb. This fat is utilised in the production of breast milk after birth, which helps a mother return to her pre-pregnant size more quickly than a mother who formula feeds her baby.It has been estimated that breastfeeding can save parents an average of US0-800 a year since there is no need to purchase expensive infant formulas.Breastfeeding directly also means there is no need for baby bottles, sterilizers and other fancy equipment required with bottle feeding.Breastfeeding is a lot more convenient, especially for night feeds as Mum does not have to get up to prepare formula.A nursing mother can also rest while she is nursing the baby (utilising the lying down position). She doesn’t have to stay awake to hold the bottle which allows her to get more rest. The benefits of breastfeeding for mothers are many and should not be overlooked. They are also equally valid factors that mothers should take into consideration when deciding whether or not to breastfeed their babies. Even if some mothers might not want to breastfeed their babies for the benefits that it offers to the baby, I’m sure knowing a little more about “what’s in it for me” might change their perspectives.

Special massage techniques are meant to treat specific needs. Massage treatments that are gaining more popularity among Warrington residents are sports massage, and pregnancy massage.

A sports massage is often mistaken for a deep tissue massage. This is because pressure and strokes for these two massages are more intense than other techniques like the Swedish massage or reflexology. A sports massage, contrary to its name, is not exclusive for athletes. Anyone who engages in rigorous exercise routines and training can get this treatment to help their muscles recover from pain and perform better. This branch of massage therapy focuses on relieving skeleto-muscular tension to loosen tension and leave them relaxed. It has also become a basic requirement for most sportsmen and teams to get regular sports massage sessions before a game or during training because it’s physical and physiological benefits are undeniable. The long strokes of this massage breaks down and drain excess toxins from the blood vessels and lymph vessels.

Other physical benefits of a sports massage are increased tissue permeability, meaning that tissue cells have greater ability to absorb oxygen and nutrients; break down of scar tissue, for faster recovery and enhanced muscle strength and elasticity; and, opens micro-circulation, which means blood cells are better dilated to allow nutrients to pass through and get absorbed.

A deep tissue massage, unlike a sports massage, is more ideal for injured individuals. The focus is not on muscle performance enhancement, but rather, muscle recovery. A deep tissue massage also has greater focus on tendons and connective tissues wrapped around our bones. Not everyone finds deep tissue massages soothing because of its intensity but for those who experience chronic and recurring pain, this therapeutic massage is the way to go.

A prenatal or pregnancy massage has earned its positive reputation over the years because of its benefits for the mother and the infant. Pregnancy massages are offered in select massage spas. It is now a fast-growing filed of interest among labor and delivery nurses, midwives, and obstetricians.

A woman’s body goes through a lot of dramatic changes during pregnancy. Allowing the body to undergo pregnancy massage stabilizes hormones, and alleviates cramps and pains on specific areas of the body like the back, hips, and legs. The light strokes applied on the back and the head also helps lymphatic nerves relax, reducing feelings of anxiety, depression, or irritability.

The process of a pregnancy massage requires specialized beds and support pillows to make sure the mother is safe and comfortable. The patient is asked to lie on her side during the massage. The therapist would start on one side of the body, beginning with the neck, then onto one side of the back, the hip, and down to one leg. The patient would then be asked to switch sides so the other side of her body could be massaged. This usually takes an hour or less. Also, oils and other aromatic substances are avoided because it could irritate the mother.

Your therapist will most likely ask for a “go ahead” from your doctor before carrying on with the massage because certain conditions, combined with a pregnancy massage, can harm the mother, the baby, or both. You are advised NOT to get this massage if you have experienced heavy discharge (bleeding), fever, vomiting, unusual pain, preeclampsia, diarrhea, abdominal pain, or excessive morning sickness. It is also recommended that you avoid this massage if you have diabetes or any heart ailments.

If you lead an active lifestyle, or if you are expecting a baby, then these two therapeutic massages will definitely prove beneficial for you. Schedule an appointment with your trusted massage spa now and start feeling better.

Article by mirinisa kiib

A couple of years ago carrying a child on your wedding ceremony didn’t look very good in the people opinion. At present, the thoughts and opinions have greatly improved and more and more up and coming brides are expectant at their big day. Based on the figures, nearly 20% of all brides tend to be currently pregnant.Does it look a clever idea to get married, while you’re pregnant or you should put back the ceremony date?

Possibly not each single chapel concurs to wed couples because of expecting bride, so it will be best to verify in advance. Simply because having a sexual activity is actually contrary to the church ideas. Thus, they are not genuinely excited to marry those people.

The actual wedding gown could very well be a worry, specifically if you purchase your outfit before anything else and therefore discover you happen to be expecting a child. Every female is different and every individual reacts to the maternity in a different way. Quite a few pregnant women barely add any extra weight or simply gain a small bit and several gain quite a lot of pounds. Generally ,, you would require a structured diet plan, get lots of work outs in a health club, but being pregnant you are not recommended to do this. You may still remain active, but not overload your body with exercise routines plus you should on no account diet. Therefore you will need to pick a special bridal dress, specifically made for expecting brides. There are numerous models of maternity designer wedding dresses to select from, however, you should keep in mind, that it can be much better to buy them or even try these on as close to the marriage as possible. Due to your tummy is growing and you simply do not really want to find yourself with a dress, which far too small for you as well as will look awkward.

Morning sickness is another big problem, which usually causes most women to suffer. Everybody knows pretty well, that morning sickness doesn’t happen exclusively during the mornings. If you are among the unfortunate ladies, that suffer from a severe morning sickness, in that case , you should have to think about postponing the wedding and reception date, or perhaps schedule it to the late stages of pregnancy. However, don’t select a date too close to your due date, as your baby may very well arrive sooner than predicted. You’ll want to be very careful considering the dates.

In the event if you want to delay the wedding party date, there may be substantially more problems. To begin with, both you and your potential husband-to-be may have actually ordered certain wedding components together with stationary with all the details on them. That is going to cost you a lot of cash. Usually stationery cost quite a lot, so buying them two times will take a big part of your wedding spending budget. Having a baby, particularly when it is your 1st child, can be very sentimental time. Many women happen to be stressed and certain, sad to say, grow postnatal depression. Finding yourself in this particular situation, you would not make a thrilled bride. Or even if you don’t end up with having baby blues or depression, you then still will be very busy with newly born baby, to accomplish all the wedding and reception plans.
A great deal of studies indicate that, not only are fish oil benefits numerous, some of them are actually very amazing! It seems like new studies are being written about everyday, as researchers and physicians learn so much more about how and why it is so great for health. The omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil are “good fats” that are necessary for health. They are essential for human health but our bodies can’t produce them – you have to get them from your diet. Here are some proven fish oil benefits that should persuade you to consume more oil rich, wild fish and begin taking a highly refined fish oil supplement if you aren’t already!

Promotes Cardiovascular Wellness & Prevents Heart Attacks and Strokes

Fish oil continues to grow in scientific reputation as a significant promoter of heart health. According to statements from the American Heart Association, fish oil is effective in lessening the occurrence of heart disease and aids in reducing risk factors like high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Research studies of heart attack survivors have discovered that daily consumption of omega-3 capsules drastically minimize the risk of dying, additional heart attacks and stroke. Omega-3s also reduce blood triglycerides, help correct irregular heart rhythms, and can help prevent and treat atherosclerosis by inhibiting the formation of plaque and blood clots, which often clog arteries.

Decreases Inflammation/Pain

Omega-3s have a powerful anti-inflammation effect.Research studies show that diets high in omega-3s (and low in the pro-inflammatory omega-6s) may benefit people with inflammation-based disorders — anything that ends in -itis!. Omega-3s have also been used to effectively treat neck, back and menstrual pain, enabling study participants to reduce their intake of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication.

Ensures Healthy Joints and Minimizes Symptoms of Arthritis

The omega-3s in fish oil reduce joint tenderness, pain intensity and morning stiffness produced by rheumatoid arthritis. In fact, many test tube studies have found that omega-3s actually reduce the activity of enzymes that destroy cartilage. More than 13 published research studies have demonstrated that fish oil supplements are highly effective at treating rheumatoid arthritis. Fish oil has helped those with RA to reduce their dependence on pain medication.

Enhances Mental Acuity & Long-Term Cognitive Function

Did you know that omega-3s, especially DHA, are incredibly concentrated in the brain? They’re important for optimum cognitive (brain memorization and performance) and behavioral functioning, as well as proper growth and development. Trials demonstrate that omega-3s might help in maintaining proper cognitive functioning and possibly in preventing or holding off the development of Alzheimer’s disease. We also have learned that it’s extremely important that pregnant women get enough DHA, because it’s crucial to the growing fetus — during the third trimester of pregnancy, the fetus’ brain grows at a rate of 250,000 new neurons each minute! Kids are also helped by omega-3 intake, as myriad studies demonstrate that omega-3s increase learning, concentration, reading and vocabulary skills. Countless studies have also shown efficacy in treating ADD.

Contributes to Positive Mood & Emotional Wellness

In nations where fish is a significant part of the diet, nationwide rates of depression are lower. So, it shouldn’t be surprising that studies have shown that fish oil capsules can temper the symptoms of depression, bipolar disorder and psychosis. Many clinical trials have found that those who took omega-3s with their prescribed anti-depressants had a greater improvement in symptoms than those who only took antidepressants, with patients experiencing a stabilizing effect and less mood swings. Research has also demonstrated that, when prisoners were given omega three fatty acids, there was a huge drop in hostile behavior. Omega-3s also appear to lower the risk of postnatal depression.

Promotes Eye Wellness

Studies show that people with a higher omega-3 consumption seem to have a decreased risk of Dry-Eye Syndrome and developing macular degeneration. Preliminary studies also show that fish oil supplementation aids inlessening dry eye symptoms, may help to inhibit macular degeneration for people already developing it and improves ocular health in general.

Pregnancy, Infancy Brain/Vision Development & Reduced Incidence of Childhood Disorders

DHA makes up 15-20% of our cerebral cortex and approximately 30-60% of the retina, so it is absolutely essential for normal growth and development of the fetus and baby. Prenatal DHA availability also appears to lessen likelihoodof childhood allergies and have an effect on motor skill quality, cognitive development and hyperactivity/behavior later in the child’s life. Omega-3s also assist in reducing the risk of premature birth and low birth weight.

Promotes Increased Metabolism of Fat and Weight Loss

According to the National Institute of Health, omega-3s trigger “I’m full” signals to the brain and aid in inhibiting hunger signals. Research has also shown that fish oil improves the efficacy of exercise in reducing body fat. Volunteers who were alloted fish oil as part of their diet showed greater decreases in weight as contrasted with those who did not consume fish oil. Exercise plus fish oil had a positive effect on the body shape and body composition of the volunteers.

Lowers Chance of Breast, Prostate & Colorectal Cancer

Though more research in this area is urgently needed, we now are aware that the omega 3′s found in fish oil assist in the prevention and treatment of prostate, testicular, breast and ovarian cancers. Preliminary trials suggest that consuming fish oil daily can help retard the progression of colon cancer in those with early stages of the disease and may possibly have the capacity to cause apoptosis (cell death) of cancer cells.

More can be written with regards to the many fish oil benefits. And, as the science community and health professionals continue to examine omega-3s, you can bet that fish oil will keep making news as the ideal source of these essential fatty acids that are so vital to our bodies.

Even if you’re currently in good physical condition, a high quality fish oil supplement is the simplest, safest way to realize and maintain optimal health!

Pregnancy massage therapy may offer real benefit to the mother waiting for? In this article I will discuss What is Pregnancy Massage, how is it different from a normal massage, some of its benefits, and precautions that should be considered before starting a program of massage therapy pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a very special moment for the mother to bond with the child she is carrying and no doubt will always be remembered as a unique experience. However, it is also a time of great physical change as the mother’s body is adapted to cover the growth of another human being in it. Along with the physical changes are the emotional changes and fluctuations in their body undergoes dramatic physiological changes.

As the pregnancy progresses, the stomach increases the production of hormonal changes, the center of gravity changes and biomechanical adaptations continue. The joints are suffering under the growing burden of pain and muscle to increased load.

Pregnancy massage can relieve anxiety and these should be considered for all pregnant women are the benefits as far and wide.

What is pregnancy massage?

It’s just pregnancy Massage During Pregnancy. It is also commonly referred to as prenatal massage.

It differs from “normal” massage in various ways.

• Pregnancy massage therapist needs to have specialized knowledge of the pregnant female body

• The massage is given with great care to ensure no damage can be caused to the baby

• The intensity of the massage is reduced and there is great sensitivity to the mother of feedback.

• The position of the body of the mother during the massage is different. It is usually the woman of his hand, while at the front or the back once in a while it is permissible to change to ensure no harm to mother or child.

Stress Relief

Pregnancy is often a time of stress, both emotionally and physically. The mother is constantly worrying about such issues as the status of her unborn child, the act of giving birth, her body changing, becoming a parent, etc. The last thing you want is having to deal with her back pain and other aches and pains associated with being pregnant.

Prenatal massage helps to de-stress. The experience is relaxing and soothing and caring, and also offers a break from your routine. This allows both body and mind to enjoy a respite from the daily cycle of treating pain and the pressures and pains of pregnancy.

Muscle Relief

During pregnancy, the mother will experience regular instances of cramps and tightening of the muscles with tension, stiffness and the presence of knots. Massage is well known to relieve all these conditions in muscular athletes and similar results can also be found in pregnancy, although the massage technique is obviously modified.

Pregnancy massage also helps to improve muscle flexibility, which is of vital importance at birth and very beneficial during the last quarter, when the tension and the physical changes in the body are important Read Full Articles: http://www.kydde.com

Lately, omega 3 fatty acids have become a common household name when it comes to prevention as well as cure of various ailments. In this article we will discuss the benefits that you can avail if omega 3 oils are taken regularly.

1. Behavioral benefits: Recent studies have proved that more than 60% of human brain is made up of omega 3 fats. Omega 3 is essential for our brain cells to coordinate in the most efficient manner. It also has great impact on improving memory, recalling and focusing abilities. Intake of omega 3 oils reduces anxiety and anger too.

2. Neurological advantage: Omega-3 fats are important component of nerve cell membranes and plays pivotal role in better inter nerve cell communication. In a study, individuals suffering from depression were put on a regular dose of omega-3 and it was found that it led in a great reduction in feelings of depression and hostility. These fats are also helpful in treating bipolar disorder and mood swings.

3. Protection to heart: Blood thinning properties of omega 3 oils inhibits built of plaque and thus prevents clogging of arteries. It is a known fact that clogged arteries lead to heart attack and strokes. These fats dilute the clogs before they can result in any damage to your heart.

4. Cardiovascular benefits: Omega 3 oils lower the blood pressure significantly in people suffering from hyper tension. It also increases HDL (good cholesterol) and reduces LDL (bad cholesterol) thus maintaining an appropriate balance of cholesterol in our body. These fats also reduce the levels of triglycerides in our blood thus decreasing the sugar level.

5. Relief from pain: Anti inflammatory properties of these fats are very effective in reducing the pain in joints, morning stiffness and arthritis pain. Patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases and dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation) are also benefited.

6. Skin advantages: These fats assist greatly in reducing the sensitiveness of skin to harmful UV rays. There are several studies that have shown that these fats are beneficial in treating acne and regular intake of omega 3 oils result in radiant and glowing skin.

7. Natal and Prenatal advantages: Omega3 fats lower the risk of post partum depression, premature and low weight births and caesarian issues. Doctors recommend taking these fats right from the first trimester for overall health benefits for pregnant women and their developing baby.

All the advantages that we discussed above can be reaped only if an effective fish oil supplement is consumed regularly. An ineffective or impure one would cause more damage than benefit.
CoQ10 benefits women at all stages of life. A natural energy producer and powerful antioxidant, coq10 supplements could play an important role in maintaining health from pregnancy through menopause and beyond.

CoQ10 is a natural substance produced by the body and found in every cell. It’s primary function is the production of energy at the cellular level, but it also has very strong antioxidant properties. As such, it can prevent or repair damage done by free radicals (chemically imbalanced molecules which scavenge and damage nearby cells).

Prenatal Supplementation Reduces Risk of Complications
Studies all over the world have shown that women who took supplemental coQ10 throughout their pregnancies had less occurrence of complications. In January 2009 the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics reported on one of those studies, in which 197 women participated. Complications including high blood pressure were observed in more than 25% of the women who had been taking placebos, while only 14.4% of the women taking 200mg daily of coQ10.

May Help Treat and Prevent Breast Cancer
The possible link between coQ10 deficiency and cancer has been under investigation for more than two decades. An increasing body of research not only confirms the link, but suggests that supplemental coQ10 could play a role in both treatment and prevention of many forms of cancer, including breast cancer.

Some of the most important new research on how supplements can effect breast cancer, done by a group of scientists headquartered in Denmark, showed remarkable results from supplementation with a group of 32 high-risk breast cancer patients. The study report says six of the participants experienced partial tumor regression and none of the participants died during the study, though the expected number of deaths among the group was four.

Menopause: Symptom Relief During, Heart Protection After
The body’s ability to produce coenzyme Q10 decreases with age, but during and after menopause women may actually need more of it than ever. Increasing blood levels of the coenzyme can boost the production of energy and may relieve many menopause-related problems, including hot flashes, depression and migraine headaches.

Heart disease is the number one cause of death in women, and it’s known that a woman’s risk of heart disease increases sharply after menopause. Many studies suggest that supplements of the coenzyme may significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in mature adults, and may even improve the functional capacity of the heart.

I want to talk to you for a minute about fish oil brain benefits, because a lot of people are still in the dark about how much good supplementing the diet with omega 3 fatty acids can do. The human brain is the richest source of fatty acids in the body, and a steady intake of DHA omega 3 fatty acids is necessary in order to keep the brain functioning properly. Omega fatty acids are essential to sound mental health.

Of course, DHA and EPA omega fatty acids play a role in the treatment and prevention of many other problems as well. While the focus of this article is going to be about the way fatty acids affect everything from moods to prenatal cognitive development, you should also be aware of the preventative effects of omega 3 fatty acids when it comes to cardiovascular disease and other inflammatory ailments, including certain types of cancer.

DHA and EPA omega fatty acids have been proven effective in the treatment, and possible prevention of adult onset type 2 diabetes, arthritis, gout, inflammatory bowel disease, allergies, asthma, and various skin disorders, along with colon, prostate, and breast cancer. So the fish oil brain function connection is but one of the ways that supplementing your diet with omega 3s is a fantastic idea.

The effect that omega 3s have on the brain is that they are essential for the healthy formation of nerve cell membranes and membrane fluidity. It is unhealthy variations in membrane fluidity that cause many of the mental problems that we suffer. Depression, aggressive behavior, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, and dyspraxia are all caused by these variations.

There have been numerous studies conducted over the last few years that concluded that fish oil brain development and function benefits could be enjoyed by your unborn child as well. A mother-to-be that supplements her diet with increased doses of DHA omega 3 fatty acid is more likely to give birth to a child that is of above average intelligence. The IQ of this child can reach 6 to 10 points higher than children born with low levels of DHA in their system.

DHA is a substance that is naturally present in breast milk, which shows you just how important it is that your child receives this fatty acid. It has been so important to the cognitive development and visual acuity of your infant that infant formulas are now supplemented with DHA. As the child grows there is no reason to end the beneficial supply of the fatty acids either.

The fish oil brain benefits of DHA and EPA omega fatty acids can’t be denied, and as you have read here there are numerous reasons for making fish oil supplements a part of your daily routine. All you need to do is find a reputable supplier of high quality dietary fish oil supplements, because you want to make sure what you are putting into your body is the purest and most potent fish oil available.

Make no mistake about it. Fish oil brain benefits are something that everyone can profit from.

The many benefits of pregnancy massage therapy have been proven by scientific research and there is no reason why this massage should not be enjoyed by pregnant ladies in South Tampa, Downtown Tampa, Macdill AFB , and Hyde Park. All they need to do is drop by a massage therapy clinic in Tampa 33629.

C.G. Funk, who is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Vice President of Industry Relations and Product Development for Massage Envy, says: “Massage therapy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote general well-being. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy.”

According to the consumer education services of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, massage gives specific benefits for each trimester of pregnancy. In the first trimester, it can relieve headaches, help ease morning sickness and decrease levels of fatigue. During the second trimester, massage can relieve back pain and stiff neck as well as ease leg cramps. On the third trimester, massage can lessen swelling or edema, ease the pain of varicose veins, prime the pelvic muscles in preparation for the process of childbirth, and improve sleeping patterns and quality of sleep.

Body pain is relieved when massage decreases stress put on weight bearing joints by the increased weight of the pregnant woman. By increasing the circulation of blood and lymph fluid, massage stimulates both the circulatory system and the lymphatic system, encouraging the more efficient flushing out of toxins, strengthening the immune system, regulating the levels of hormones and restoring balance in the glandular system. The anxiety, nervous tension and depression that arises from hormonal changes are, therefore, also addressed.

The pregnant woman should be aware of the proper ways that prenatal massage should be administered, though, so she can avoid potentially dangerous massage techniques from untrained masseuses. It is very important that pregnancy massage be administered only by highly trained professional massage therapists.

According to C.G. Funk, “At Massage Envy, our therapists will place all prenatal clients in side-lying positioning. This positioning alleviates the extra strain on the lower back and pelvic areas when the pressure of massage techniques are applied. Extra strain in these areas can cause unnecessary back pain and discomfort. During the first trimester, it is also acceptable for clients to lie on their backs with a slight elevation under one hip.”

A pregnant woman is usually positioned on her side gently so she can be comfortable while her back is being massaged by the therapist. She is then turned to a semi-reclining position in order for the massage therapist to work on the front of her body. Great care is given so that there is no extra strain placed on the pregnant woman’s lower back and her pelvic areas. Usually, a special body support cushion is provided to give further comfort and enable proper body positioning.

Prenatal massage therapy may incorporate certain techniques of Swedish massage, reflexology and other massage modalities, as needed. The specific needs of each pregnant woman are taken into consideration. There are broad guidelines that are followed, as well.

Each pregnant woman needs to consult her obstetrician and acquire his or her approval before undergoing prenatal massage. Even with such approval, each pregnant woman must pay close attention to her body and immediately inform the therapist of any discomfort whatsoever.

Pregnant ladies may want to have a companion when going for their pregnancy massage therapy session. Their companions can be duly rewarded with their own session of Swedish massage therapy, deep tissue massage therapy or sports massage therapy in the same massage therapy clinic in Tampa 33629.

They say that pregnancy is a celebration of womanhood. In fact, it’s a privilege, since not all ladies can actually be given an opportunity to bear children.

That’s why while you still have the capacity to get pregnant, you should start looking into prenatal DHA care.

Okay, what do we mean by this? Your body requires a lot of vitamins and minerals to ensure that it remains healthy. If you’re trying to get pregnant, your body should be more than ready to cater to another human being.

Keep in mind that your baby will be dependent on you for nutrition and basically for survival. You have then to know what types of nutrients you need to take to fulfill your role as a mom.

DHA is one of these essential nutrients. It’s a type of omega3 fatty acid that is responsible for the development of your baby. Going into prenatal DHA care can help you enjoy the following benefits:

1. You can encourage the better development of your baby’s brain and vision. Your baby requires a lot of DHA even when he or she is still in your womb. It will make up at least 1/3 of his or her brain.

If you take in supplements or foods that are already rich in DHA such as walnuts, you already have a good head start. The DHA will also be responsible for the development of your baby’s vision.

2. You can also reduce the amount of iron in your blood. We’re going to make this clear. You definitely need iron in your body, especially when you have a baby.

Without it, you cannot provide enough oxygen supply to your unborn kid. However, too much of it too can be pretty bad for you as it always introduces nausea during the first three months. With a DHA supplement, you can bring down the iron level to something that’s normal.

3. You can ensure yourself that you don’t have to go through post-partum blues. Post-natal blues, or after-birth depression, is very common among mothers. However, it’s not enough reason for you to just let it get into you.

The emotional and psychological issue can prevent you from taking care of yourself and your baby well. It could also develop to severe depression, if you ignore it.

When you have high level of DHA in your body, you can expect to not go through such harrowing ordeal. This is because it can already control your hormonal changes and mood swings. It can also improve the symptoms of depression because of its therapeutic effects.

Find out why pure omega 3 fish oil has more anti-aging health benefits than any other supplement in the world

There are a number of healthy benefits a women can receive from practicing yoga. Through this form of exercise women are able to build on their strengths and focus on bettering themselves through a calming method of breathing, meditation, and gentle poses.

Here are just some of the healthy benefits that women can get from yoga:

1)Yoga can help enhance your immune system and decrease chances of illnesses. It is believed that yoga can greatly enhance the function of your immune system. This will lead to the more effective curbing of a number of diseases that women normally get. Yoga is also known to be very effective in controlling the level of cholesterol in the body as well as a woman’s blood pressure.

2)For those women who can’t seem to find the time to perform exercises that will help control their cholesterol level and blood pressure, yoga could be very advantageous. This is because yoga makes use of breathing exercises and meditation that could help in calming down nerves that have been stressed by work or daily activities.

3)oga can help bring about a more healthy pregnancy. Although pregnancy brings with it a great deal of happiness, it can also lead to experiencing a lot of discomforts. Yoga can help alleviate these discomforts, which could include backaches, morning sickness, and mood swings. Yoga exercises can also help greatly in maintaining an ideal weight during pregnancy. There are different prenatal poses being practiced in yoga that are recommended for women who are pregnant. These are intended to aid women in preparing their bodies for their babies’ birth.

4)Yoga helps decrease pre-menstrual syndrome symptoms. Menstruation is known to cause a number of hormonal changes among women. These changes as well as the inconveniences they bring often make women uncomfortable. Because of these changes, pre-menstrual syndrome symptoms could also be experienced before, during, and after a menstrual period. These include cramps, mood swings, depression and irritation. These symptoms can be considerably reduced through practicing yoga, which has some poses that could aid in the reduction of pain during menstrual periods.

5)Yoga helps women deal with stress and depression. Because women are emotional in nature, it is expected that they fall victim to stress and depression more than men do. Yoga makes use of meditation, which is a great aid in decreasing the stress and tension levels in the body. Practicing yoga will also help stimulate positive levels of energy.

6)Yoga also helps make the body more flexible. Women tend to lose the flexibility of their bodies faster than men. This is because most of the work that really requires brute physical strength is done by men. Because of this, men’s muscles are known to remain more tight and flexible longer than those of the women. Aside from this, women also lose bone density faster than most men because of the rigors that they go through during childbirth, which could make them lose more calcium, thus leading to making their bones very fragile. Because of this, a woman’s body will begin to lose its flexibility during her thirties. However, this can be delayed by doing yoga exercises.
