It’s a difficult time for any woman and any strategy that helps you to deal better with the challenges ahead should be employed. In addition to fitness you can benefit from changes your approach to nutrition and this is good as where health is concerned you are advised to take an holistic approach and take everything into account.

It can be useful for a wide range of reasons and is notable for helping you to maintain physical balance within the body as well as promoting a relaxed mind. Yoga is something that is unique in the way that it can help you to come to terms with both if these and this is why it is a perfect choice for you in the prenatal stages.

Maintaining the balance between these two elements is highly necessary for you to be successful in every stage of your life and this can be useful in this regard. It’s not always easy to get both of them working together to a high level and so this is definitely something that your health can benefit from in the long term.

The mind and the body need to be working together for you to have a happy and healthy mother who is prepared for all of the challenges ahead. Mind and body are aligned during this process and yoga enables this in a way that is noticeable if you practice it on a regular basis. Many people use it to help them deal with stress and anxiety which you should try to minimize during this time.

There are many different kinds which can be practiced as well. The many different styles of yoga are adaptable to the individuals needs. Originating in India it spread all over the world and now millions make use of it in a variety of different contexts. It can be applied to a wide range of lifestyles.

Stretching that is done early in the morning helps your joints to remain supple and prepare you for the remainder of the day. Your muscles are quietly woken up and you also benefit from the slow breathing that is a part of this ancient discipline. You can find that this is a good start to the day for both you and your baby.

Care will need to be taken depending on what stage of pregnancy you are in. There are thankfully many different poses that can be achieved and adapted depending on your physical needs. You can decrease the intensity as the months go by and lessen the amount of time that is taken to complete the whole routine.

Maintaining you health both before and during pregnancy is necessary to ensure a successful pregnancy. Find out everything you need to know about Getting Pregnant, Pregnancy, Pregnancy Problems, and Postpartum right here.

From helpful pregnancy advice to ideas on setting up your nursery, dragonfly crib bedding anyone?, you’ve come to the right place.
Preparing For Pregnancy

To learn more about your health and getting ready for pregnancy, read Diet & Lifestyle. Taking care of your health during pregnancy is not only important for you but also for your baby. As soon as you begin to show any of the signs and symptoms of pregnancy, including morning sickness, it’s time to take better care of your health. Knowing about all the possible prenatal risks can help you know what to avoid when you are pregnant. You’ll also need to make an appointment with a prenatal care provider, but should you go with an OB/GYN, family doctor or a midwife? Prenatal Care Practitioners can help you decide.
Eating And Exercising While Pregnant

Another important part to maintaining a healthy pregnancy is knowing if you are gaining the right amount of weight? When pregnant, how much weight you do or don’t gain will greatly affect the development of your baby. Find out more. Also, eating the right foods will help to ensure that you and your baby stay healthy throughout your pregnancy. But, remember, while you may be experiencing some pregnancy cravings, there are foods that you need to avoid, including caffeine, when you are pregnant. And while you may not always feel like it, exercise can help you feel better throughout your pregnancy and even make labor easier, especially if you do your kegels! Regular exercise can also aid in reducing your risk of developing gestational diabetes. Just remember to keep these exercise safety tips in mind.
Testing And Your Pregnancy

To help ensure the health of your baby, various prenatal tests are done throughout your pregnancy. Many of these are optional but can give you important information about how well your baby is doing. Routine prenatal care can also help minimize the likelihood of pregnancy complications, like preeclampsia. A big part of prenatal care is getting those all important ultrasounds. For parents wanting something extra exciting, consider a 4d ultrasound, which are available at select clinics nationwide.

If you are expecting twins, triplets or more, then you may have even more prenatal testing done throughout the course of your pregnancy. Moms-to-be of twins (or more) may also have to deal with hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness that requires medical attention.
Bleeding While Pregnant

Many women may not realize it, but during pregnancy some bleeding can be normal. However, other types of bleeding and spotting in pregnancy may indicate a problem, such as a placental disorder. Bleeding During Pregnacy can help you learn the difference.
The Don’ts Of Pregnancy

There are some substances that many women know they should avoid during pregnancy but may not know why. Pregnancy and Alcohol Use will help you understand how alcohol affects your baby during pregnancy while Pregnancy and Smoking outlines the detrimental affects of nicotine on your baby and may just help to give you the encouragement you need to kick your habit. Psychiatric Medicines and Pregnancy outlines which drugs you should stay away from.

If you are using illegal drugs and are pregnant, it’s not too late to stop. Pregnancy and Drugs details all the possible complications that can arise in both mother and child when you abuse drugs. It also offers some useful resources for those looking for help.
Risks And Your Pregnancy

One risk that women may be unaware of is the risk of radiation exposure. Learn what is safe and what isn’t in Prenatal Radiation Exposure. Also, if you are HIV positive or think you may have been exposed to the virus, read Pregnancy and HIV/AIDS or an article about new treatment options that can help prevent HIV transmission to newborns during pregnancy.

Pregnant cat owners should also take a look at Toxoplasmosis. This rare but serious infection can cause problems for both you and your baby if you contract it while you are pregnant.
Depression And Pregnancy

In addition to your physical health, it is also important to take care of your mental health. Developing depression during pregnancy can be detrimental to both you and your baby. Moreover, developing depression while you are pregnant increases your risk of developing postpartum depression after birth.
Planning For And Preparing For Your Pregnancy

If you want to chat with other pregnant women about your pregnancy check out our pregnancy forum.

Teenage mothers are seen to be initiating breast feed late ( Yi Kung Park, 2003 ). They smile less, make poor eye contact, physical contact with infant than adult mother (Culp, 1988). The present research aims to study whether similar problems are observed in the culture where teenage pregnancy is socially encouraged . Tools - To conduct the present study two standardized tools were used. The first one was Indian adoption of Goldberg’s General Health Questionnaire by Dr. Shiv Gautam, Madan Nizhawan and Preet Kamal (1987) and second one was Mental Health Inventory by Dr. Jagdish and , Dr. A.K . Shrivastav . The main components of the tool were Positive Evaluation, Perception of Reality, Integration of Personality, Autonomy ,Group oriented attitudes and Environmental mastery .

Locale of study- The sample was selected from the Malsisar and Ghav villages of Hanumangarh districts of Rajasthan.

Sample selection-Purposive random sampling method was used to select 50 adolescent mothers who had infants below 1year of age .The age of mothers was from 14-18 years out of which 25 belonged to group A where the age of mother was between 14 to 16 years while rest 25 belonged to group B where the age of mother was 16 to 18 years. The data was collected by door to door visit in search of relevant sample.

Statistical analysis- The gathered data was coded, analyzed and the mean, SD, coefficient of correlation and t-values were computed.

Hypothesis-

1. There would be significant difference between the general health of the adolescent mothers of the two groups i.e. group A (14-16 years) and group B (16-18 years).

2. There would be difference between the mental health of the mother of the two groups i.e. group A (14-16 years) and group B (16-18 years).

3. There would be significant correlation between the two variables i.e. General health and Mental health .

Results

Result shows that the mean value of general health of adolescent mothers between 14 to 16 years is 39.40 and those of adolescent mothers between 16 to 18 years is 38.12 which is significant at 0.05 level which proves that the hypothesis is approved as supported by the study of Mankison (1995) which states that under developed pelvis can lead to difficulty in child birth but appropriate medical care, psychological care may lead to safe child birth at the age of 14 .Obstructed labor can lead to eclampsia, obstetric fistula, infant mortality and maternal death .For mothers in their late teenage, age itself is not a risk factor. Poor out come are associated more with socio economic status rather than biology.

It also highlights the comparison between the two group A (14-16 years)and group B (16-18 years) regarding the mental health and its dimensions on the basis of mean, SD and t-values.

Results show that mean of over all mental health of adolescent mother (14 to 16 years) is 121.28 and those of (16 -18 years ) is 126.80. The difference between the two groups is significant with the t-value of 2.256 at 0.05 level.

When six dimensions of mental health i.e. Self evaluation, Perception of reality, Integration of personality, Autonomy, Group oriented Attitude and Environmental mastery are compared between the two groups it was found that although the overall mental health of the two groups was found to be different at 0.05 level of significance only the second dimension i.e. Perception to reality was found to be significantly different at 0.01 level of significance.

There was no correlation found between the general and mental health and its dimensions but perception of reality and integration of personality are positively correlated where correlation coefficient is 0.479*, which is significant at 0.05 level. Similarly Group oriented attitude and Perception of reality are negatively correlated wherecorrelation coefficient is 0.490**, which is significant at 0.01 level.

A positive correlation was found between general health and mental health where correlation was 0.538** which is significant at 0.01 level of significance.Correlation between integation of personality and general health found significant at 0.05 level of significance where correlation coefficient is 0.395* . Similarly General health and environmental mastery are positively correlated where correlation coefficient is 0.447*, which is significant at 0.05 level.

Conclusions

The general health of the group A was found to be better than the group B, Supported by the study of Mackinson, 1995, But larger sample would give a clearer picture.

Teenage pregnancy reduces the chances of getting education, increases higher drop outs from school and also decreases the chances to get married ( Moor. et. al, 1993; The National Campaign to Prevent Teenage Pregnancy, 1997).

As supported by the study that the teenage mothers may feel uncomfortable and rejected during this time. One fourth of mothers will have second baby within 24 months. The closely spaced repeated births decreases with the educational level of women( Kalmus, 1994). She may feel social difficulties and psychological disturbances and emotionally sick ( Maggie, 1999).

There is evidence in US that with emotional support, good education and child care, the teenage mother can catch up by the age of 30 years with average outcomes of the age group and socio economic back ground. When we compare teenage mothers with other girls with similar socio- cultural profile, bad schooling experience and low educational aspirations, the differences in their life chances is negligible ( East, 2001).

The study proves that when general health increases , mental health also increases and person suffering from any kind of physical ailment cannot be expected to be as rational as compared to a person with healthy body.

Overall a positive correlation was found between autonomy and general health, perception of reality and integration of personality With age perception of reality is more and clear which results in a complete integrated personality, Hence it is significant that in development of proper mental health age plays an important role . So teenager to become a mother is inappropriate.

Suggestions to prevent teen pregnancy-

1. Education/ raising level of aspiration in women

2. Mass instructions regarding drawbacks of teenage marriage/ pregnancy specially to female community

3. Streamlining teen mothers / providing social support system

              Timelines

A pregnancy is divided into three phases, or trimesters. The first trimester is from conception to the end of week 13. The second trimester is from week 14 to the end of week 26. The third trimester is from week 27 to the end of the pregnancy.

The doctor will examine you and perform a pelvic exam. He or she may also perform blood tests, a urine test, and tests for sexually transmitted disease, including a test for HIV, which is on the rise in teens. (Some STDs can cause serious medical problems in newborns, so it’s important to get treatment to protect the baby.)

The doctor will explain the types of physical and emotional changes you can expect during pregnancy. He or she will also teach you to how to recognize the signs of possible problems during pregnancy (called complications). This is especially important because teens are more at risk for certain complications, such as anemia, high blood pressure, and delivering a baby earlier than usual (called premature delivery).

Your doctor will want you to start taking prenatal vitamins that contain folic acid, calcium, and iron as soon as possible. The doctor may prescribe the vitamins or recommend a brand that you can buy over the counter. These vitamins and minerals help ensure the baby’s and mother’s health as well as prevent some types of birth defects.

Ideally, you should see your doctor once each month for the first 28 weeks of your pregnancy, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, then once a week until you deliver the baby. If you have a medical condition such as diabetes that needs careful monitoring during your pregnancy, your doctor will probably want to see you more often.

During visits, your doctor will check your weight, blood pressure, and urine, and will measure your abdomen to keep track of the baby’s growth. Once the baby’s heartbeat can be heard with a special device, the doctor will listen for it at each visit. Your doctor will probably also send you for some other tests during the pregnancy, such as an ultrasound, to make sure that everything is OK with your baby.

One part of prenatal care is attending classes where expectant mothers can learn about having a healthy pregnancy and delivery and the basics of caring for a new baby. These classes may be offered at hospitals, medical centers, schools, and colleges in your area.

It can be difficult for adults to talk to their doctors about their bodies and even more difficult for teens to do so. Your doctor is there to help you stay healthy during pregnancy and have a healthy baby — and there’s probably not much he or she hasn’t heard from expectant mothers! So don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Be upfront when your doctor asks questions, even if they seem embarrassing. A lot of the issues the doctor brings up could affect your baby’s health. Think of your doctor both as a resource and a friend who you can confide in about what’s happening to you.

Changes to Expect in Your Body

Pregnancy causes lots of physical changes in the body. Here are some common ones:

Breast Growth

An increase in breast size is one of the first signs of pregnancy, and the breasts may continue to grow throughout the pregnancy. You may go up several bra sizes during the course of your pregnancy.

Skin Changes

Don’t be surprised if people tell you your skin is “glowing” when you are pregnant — pregnancy causes an increase in blood volume, which can make your cheeks a little pinker than usual. And hormonal changes increase oil gland secretion, which can give your skin a shinier appearance. Acne is also common during pregnancy for the same reason.

Other skin changes caused by pregnancy hormones may include brownish or yellowish patches on the face called chloasma and a dark line on the midline of the lower abdomen, known as thelinea nigra.

Also, moles or freckles that you had prior to pregnancy may become bigger and darker. Even the areola, the area around the nipples, becomes darker. Stretch marks are thin pink or purplish lines that can appear on your abdomen, breasts, or thighs.

Except for the darkening of the areola, which can last, these skin changes will usually disappear after you give birth.

Mood Swings

It’s very common to have mood swings during pregnancy. Some girls may also experience depression during pregnancy or after delivery. If you have symptoms of depression such as sadness, changes in sleep patterns, thoughts of hurting yourself, or bad feelings about yourself or your life, tell your doctor so he or she can help you to get treatment.

Pregnancy Discomforts

Pregnancy can cause some uncomfortable side effects. These include:

nausea and vomiting (especially early in the pregnancy)
leg swelling
varicose veins in the legs and the area around the vaginal opening
hemorrhoids
heartburn and constipation
backache
fatigue
sleep loss

If you have one or more of these side effects, keep in mind that you’re not alone! Ask your doctor for advice on how to deal with these common problems.

If you are pregnant and have bleeding or pain, call the doctor immediately, even if you are not planning to continue the pregnancy.

Things to Avoid in pregnancy

Smoking, drinking alcohol, and taking drugs when you are pregnant put you and your baby at risk for a number of serious problems.

Alcohol

Doctors now believe that it’s not safe to drink any amount of alcohol when you are pregnant. Drinking can harm a developing fetus, putting a baby at risk for birth defects and mental problems.

Smoking

The risks of smoking during pregnancy include stillbirths (when a baby dies while inside the mother), low birth weight (which increases a baby’s risk for health problems), prematurity (when babies are born earlier than 37 weeks), and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). SIDS is the sudden, unexplained death of an infant who is younger than 1 year old.

Drugs

Using illegal drugs such as cocaine or marijuana during pregnancy can cause miscarriage, prematurity, and other medical problems. Babies can also be born addicted to certain drugs.

Ask your doctor for help if you are having trouble quitting smoking, drinking, or drugs. Check with your doctor before taking any medication while you are pregnant, including over-the-counter medications, herbal remedies and supplements, and vitamins.

Unsafe Sex

Talk to your doctor about sex during pregnancy. If your doctor says it’s OK to have sex while you’re pregnant, you must use a condom to help prevent getting an STD. Some STDs can cause blindness, pneumonia, or meningitis in newborns, so it’s important to protect yourself and your baby.

Taking Care of Yourself During Pregnancy
Eating

Many girls worry about how their bodies look and are afraid to gain weight during pregnancy. But now that you are eating for two, this is not a good time to cut calories or go on a diet. Both you and your baby need certain nutrients so the baby can grow properly. Eating a variety of healthy foods, drinking plenty of water, and cutting back on high-fat junk foods will help you and your developing baby to be healthy.

Doctors generally recommend adding about 300 calories a day to your diet to provide adequate nourishment for the developing fetus. You should gain about 25 to 35 pounds during pregnancy, most of this during the last 6 months — although how much a girl should gain depends on how much she weighed before the pregnancy. Your doctor will advise you based on your individual situation.

Eating additional fiber — 25 to 30 grams a day — and drinking plenty of water can help to prevent common problems such as constipation. Good sources of fiber are fresh fruits and vegetables and breads, cereals, or muffins that have lots of whole grain in them.

You’ll need to avoid eating or drinking certain things during pregnancy, such as:

certain types of fish, such as swordfish, canned tuna, and other fish that may be high in mercury (your doctor can help you decide which fish you can eat)
foods that contain raw eggs, such as mousse or Caesar salad
raw or undercooked meat and fish
processed meats, such as hot dogs and deli meats
soft, unpasteurized cheeses, such as feta, brie, blue, and goat cheese
unpasteurized milk, juice, or cider

It’s also a good idea to limit artificial sweeteners, and drinks that contain caffeine and artificial sweeteners.

Exercise

Exercising during pregnancy is good for you as long as you are having an uncomplicated pregnancy and choose appropriate activities. Doctors generally recommend low-impact activities such as walking, swimming, and yoga. Contact sports and high-impact aerobic activities that pose a greater risk of injury should generally be avoided. Also, working at a job that involves heavy lifting is not recommended for women during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor if you have questions about whether particular types of exercise are safe for you and your baby.

Sleep

It’s important to get plenty of rest while you are pregnant. Early in your pregnancy, try to get into the habit of sleeping on your side. Lying on your side with your knees bent is likely to be the most comfortable position as your pregnancy progresses. Also, it makes your heart’s job easier because it keeps the baby’s weight from applying pressure to the large vein that carries blood back to the heart from your feet and legs.

Some doctors recommend that girls who are pregnant sleep on the left side. Because of where some of your major blood vessels are, lying on your left side helps keep the uterus from pressing on them. Ask what your doctor recommends — in most cases, lying on either side should do the trick and help take some pressure off your back.

Throughout your pregnancy, but especially toward the end, you may wake up often at night to go to the bathroom. While it’s important to drink enough water while you’re pregnant, try to drink most of it during the day rather than at night. Use the bathroom right before going to bed. As you get further along in your pregnancy, you might have a difficult time getting comfortable in bed. Try positioning pillows around and under your belly, back, or legs to get more comfortable.

Stress can also interfere with sleep. Maybe you’re worried about your baby’s health, about delivery, or about what your new role as a parent will be like. All of these feelings are normal, but they may keep you up at night. Talk to your doctor if you are having problems sleeping during your pregnancy.

Emotional Health

It’s common for pregnant teens to feel a range of emotions, such as fear, anger, guilt, confusion, and sadness. It may take a while to adjust to the fact that you’re going to have a baby. It’s a huge change, and it’s natural for pregnant teens to wonder whether they’re ready to handle the responsibilities that come with being a parent.

How a girl feels often depends on how much support she has from the baby’s father, from her family (and the baby’s father’s family), and from friends. Each girl’s situation is different. Depending on your situation, you may need to seek more support from people outside your family. It’s important to talk to the people who can support and guide you and help you share and sort through your feelings. Your school counselor or nurse can refer you to resources in your community that can help.

School and the Future

Some girls plan to raise their babies themselves. Sometimes grandparents or other family members help. Some girls decide to give their babies up for adoption. It takes a great deal of courage and concern for the baby to make these difficult decisions.

Girls who complete high school are more likely to have good jobs and enjoy more success in their lives. If possible, finish high school now rather than trying to return later. Ask your school counselor or an adult you trust for information about programs and classes in your community for pregnant teens.

Some communities have support groups especially for teen parents. Some high schools have child-care centers on campus. Perhaps a family member or friend can care for your baby while you’re in school.

Blocking abortion means Billions of tax dollars going to millions of unwanted pregnancies, prenatal care, hospital birthing, and then after birthing stays, post natal care, child health care, foster programs, orphanages, mothers and fathers welfare, child welfare, food stamps, night school for parents who dropped out, health care for those who attempted to abort at home, ect.

We will all have to pay more taxes to cover the rise in child abuse cases that come with unwanted children. We will all have to use our tax dollars to pay for anti depression, and anti stress, and many other things that come with either raising a kid you hate, or giving your baby to an orphanage.

We will have to pay our police more because there will be more crime, including more abandoned babies in rivers, and dumpsters, and public bathrooms… (Is this really more humane than aborting?)

Is this what America needs right now? Do we need to pay for this too?
Penguin, go back to bed, it’s 2am!
Da boyz, they are also blocking insurance from paying for it. That means we get stuck paying for their kids. Do you want to feed and cloth them, and their parents? You’re going to. And you are not going to have a choice.
Satan, this will cost tax payers because taxpayers still have to pay for all other healthcare! And taxpayers pay for the police! And tax payers pay into grants for parents to go back to school! The numbers of people pulling money for these things will go WAY up.
They wont be able to pay for abortions without money! Thats the whole point! There wont be many people to provide the services, and the option to pay out of pocket will either be impossible (for many women and men who don’t want to be fathers, but wont have a choice) or it will be compounded with extra fees. Right now millions of women ARE covered by their health insurance plans. The CAN get them now. That is about to end.

…Which means we get stuck with the bill for their welfare, health care, and child care. – instead of just an abortion bill.
Colonal Reb, it doesn’t matter that you aren’t paying for abortions right now. They are blocking abortion from being covered by other insurance. (It’s in the bill) That means we cover it, or the abortions don’t happen.
Colonal Reb, it doesn’t matter.

When this bill passes you will have to either pay for abortions or pay for pregnancy, and the children that come from them, and their parents welfare.

Since abortions are being blocked pay-wise, YOU are going to pay for their pregnancies, and their kids, and their welfare.

What you are paying now is much less than what you WILL have to pay very soon.
Bibigirl, not illegal, blocked.

One of the most important things for a woman to ensure while she is pregnant is that she remains healthy throughout the the nine-month period. This is because anything that affects the mother will affect the baby in her womb. With that into consideration, women should be aware that any preexisting condition they might have and/or the medications that they are taking can have a profound effect on their pregnancy and their baby. In some cases, this may increase the risk of babies being born with birth weight problems (either overweight or underweight), developmental problems, preterm labor, premature rupture of membranes, pre-eclampsia, congenital heart block, or deformities. It may even be the cause of death for both mother and child.

Among the preexisting medical conditions that pose a significant health risk for women during pregnancy are anemia, asthma, arthritis, sexually transmitted diseases, heart conditions, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), thyroid disorders, kidney diseases, liver diseases, infections, diabetes, hypertension, eating disorders, epilepsy, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), substance abuse, depression, and other mental illnesses. While these conditions can pose complications during pregnancy, it is possible to manage them with medical assistance.

It is highly recommended that women visit their obstetricians monthly during a normal pregnancy, but for women with preexisting conditions this may occur with more frequency so that their healthcare providers can monitor the progress of the pregnancy, how the woman is managing her preexisting condition and how it is affecting the unborn child.

For women with preexisting conditions who are planning to become pregnant, it is important to consult with a doctor before conception happens. A doctor will be able to explain the risks the condition poses to the pregnancy and help a woman weigh the pros and cons of carrying a child. This is called preconception planning, and when followed by early and on-going prenatal care, it is very helpful in ensuring a safe and healthy pregnancy.

Preconception planning can map out a possible plan for every step during the pregnancy, including counseling for the couple who wishes to have the child, the possibility of changing the medications currently being used to manage the preexisting condition, and of any changes in diet for the mother-to-be. In some cases, such as if a woman has an eating disorder or a predilection for substance abuse, the doctor may suggest going through therapy to eliminate these conditions before becoming pregnant. Both diet and medication have been proven to have an impact on the health of the child, since the baby is effectively sharing whatever the mother ingests.

Chronic conditions don’t have to threaten a woman’s life or the life of her unborn child. Apart from seeking medical advice about her preexisting conditions, it is also important to have the support of her family and friends around her. There are also groups composed of women in a similar situation that remind the the woman that she is not the only person going through this challenge. There are many women out there have triumphed over their illnesses to carry a child to term. Practicing preconception planning is just one of the steps in giving birth to healthy babies.

Lately, omega 3 fatty acids have become a common household name when it comes to prevention as well as cure of various ailments. In this article we will discuss the benefits that you can avail if omega 3 oils are taken regularly.

1. Behavioral benefits: Recent studies have proved that more than 60% of human brain is made up of omega 3 fats. Omega 3 is essential for our brain cells to coordinate in the most efficient manner. It also has great impact on improving memory, recalling and focusing abilities. Intake of omega 3 oils reduces anxiety and anger too.

2. Neurological advantage: Omega-3 fats are important component of nerve cell membranes and plays pivotal role in better inter nerve cell communication. In a study, individuals suffering from depression were put on a regular dose of omega-3 and it was found that it led in a great reduction in feelings of depression and hostility. These fats are also helpful in treating bipolar disorder and mood swings.

3. Protection to heart: Blood thinning properties of omega 3 oils inhibits built of plaque and thus prevents clogging of arteries. It is a known fact that clogged arteries lead to heart attack and strokes. These fats dilute the clogs before they can result in any damage to your heart.

4. Cardiovascular benefits: Omega 3 oils lower the blood pressure significantly in people suffering from hyper tension. It also increases HDL (good cholesterol) and reduces LDL (bad cholesterol) thus maintaining an appropriate balance of cholesterol in our body. These fats also reduce the levels of triglycerides in our blood thus decreasing the sugar level.

5. Relief from pain: Anti inflammatory properties of these fats are very effective in reducing the pain in joints, morning stiffness and arthritis pain. Patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases and dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation) are also benefited.

6. Skin advantages: These fats assist greatly in reducing the sensitiveness of skin to harmful UV rays. There are several studies that have shown that these fats are beneficial in treating acne and regular intake of omega 3 oils result in radiant and glowing skin.

7. Natal and Prenatal advantages: Omega3 fats lower the risk of post partum depression, premature and low weight births and caesarian issues. Doctors recommend taking these fats right from the first trimester for overall health benefits for pregnant women and their developing baby.

All the advantages that we discussed above can be reaped only if an effective fish oil supplement is consumed regularly. An ineffective or impure one would cause more damage than benefit.

The importance of prenatal omega 3 cannot be underestimated for the baby’s health and well-being with over 85% of pregnant mothers being deficient in it. Here are some of the main benefits and how to select the most effective and importantly, safest source.

All the major health bodies recommend that a pregnant mother take a daily supplement of prenatal omega 3 DHA fish oil to reap the health benefits for both the mother and baby.

Over seventy percent of a baby’s brain and nervous system is composed of omega 3 fatty acids and well over thirty percent of an adult brain is composed of DHA omega 3 fats showing just how important they are.

For the baby, improved comprehension and motor skills along with better hand-eye coordination are the main benefits, and why these supplements are sometimes referred to as smart pills!

Prenatal omega 3 benefits to the mother include a healthier all round pregnancy with less tiredness, and reduced risk of premature birth and also more recent studies have shown a lower rate of post natal depression when a daily fish oil supplement has been taken.

To get all these health benefits, I cannot stress how important it is to only use a distilled oil. This means it has gone through molecular distillation to remove the toxins which the fish carry, like mercury, arsenic and lead.

You would be surprised just how many on the market have not undergone this expensive process just to save costs and you and your baby could unwittingly ingest these harmful contaminants.

Just check the label or website to be sure.

The other main factor to check is the DHA level. The two main omega 3 fatty acids are EPA and DHA but it is the DHA which will provide you and your baby with most of the benefits so look for a 2:1 ratio of DHA to EPA with a minimum of 250mg of DHA per fish oil capsule.

Now you know the incredible health benefits, you can go about confidently choosing the best prenatal omega 3 fish oil supplements to reap all the many rewards they offer with none of the risks.

An estimated two thirds of all young people with mental health problems are not always the help need.It is important to remember that mental disorders occur at any age but most often appears for the first time in aged 25 and 44 With proper treatment most people with a mental illness can return to normal productive life, and almost everyone gets some benefit from treatment.
The causes of mental illness are complex. Mental disorders in children and adolescents who are most often caused by biology and environment. Examples of biological causes are genetics, chemical imbalances in the body caused by genetics, lack of sleep or poor nutrition, or damage to the central nervous system, such as a head injury, lack of oxygen at birth and disturbances of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum. Many environmental factors also put young people at risk of developing mental disorders. Examples including exposure to environmental toxins, such as high levels of lead are exposed to violence as witnesses or victims of physical or sexual abuse, drive-by shootings, robberies or other disasters, stress, chronic poverty, discrimination, or other serious diseases and the loss of important people through death, divorce or broken relationships.
The following six preventive services are recommended and can be a clinic, a church, library or community center out of the local community:
1. Prenatal and home visits or support groups to children.
2. Cessation education and counseling targeted to smokers, especially those who are pregnant.

Medicine for the Masses

Many people forget about public health until there’s and outbreak, like the rise of H1N1 virus (or Swine Flu). Public health is a field of medicine that operates in areas other than infectious disease, and long before an epidemic takes hold.

Public Health, in fact, includes the “protection and improvement” of overall health of the masses. Historically, public health has concentrated on communicable diseases, hygiene, and prevention of epidemics. The discipline has expanded over the years to encompass chronic disease prevention, community-based health studies and programs, and effective health promotion.

Disease

Public health officials must stay on top of all new and recurring outbreaks. This includes not only communicable diseases, but also hereditary and lifestyle diseases, like many cancers and heart disease. Much of their time is spent in overseeing the search for cures, treatments and improving diagnostic processes and equipment. Prevention and eradication are the ultimate goals, but the road to either is long and winding.

The tools that public health officials use to track outbreaks and the evolution of new disease are also very important. Tools like the World Health Organization’s Geographic Information Systems help accomplish this.

Communal Health

On a community level, the local health department serves the same purpose. They track disease, but also provide things like testing kits, prophylactics, and education on nutrition, reproduction and development. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) sees to the health of all Americans, regardless of income status. They continue to redefine public health through their programs.

Pooling talents
HHS does not work alone. It coops resources and manpower from other government agencies in order to oversee the health of the American public. For example, although the local HHS houses the WIC program, or the Special Supplemental Nutritional Program for Women, Infant and Children, the U.S. Department of Agriculture runs it.

The program ensures that pregnant or breastfeeding women and their children under the age of five receive the proper nutrition needed for development. The program wouldn’t be possible without the HHS organization and administration. It also must have the Department of Agriculture’s access to the American food supply.

Public and Private Partnerships

The pooling of government resources isn’t the only way that public health operates. Public and private entities have been cooperating for a long time on public health issues. This statement seems contrary to recent news over the battle of public and private health insurance and a national health care plan. However, in the realm of public health research, the partnership between the public and private entities has flourished.

Both sectors have realized the need to provide affordable medicines for the public, for example. As a result, private companies like Eli Lilly are contributing to government research and vice versa. One such collaboration with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention resulted in a Training Program in the field of infectious disease.

Educating the Masses

That brings us to another realm of public health—education and training. Many public health experts have recognized the need to educate that public in order to better the wellbeing of the entire population. This goes beyond training up the next CDC president. It involves
Updates on next outbreak,
Informational campaigns for new drugs and vaccines,
Sex education to prevent teen pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted disease,
Screenings and checklists for diseases like diabetes, depression and heart disease,
Awareness programs for prenatal care, family fitness and more.

Public health education is especially important to those in developing countries and even the rural areas of the United States. In these areas, access to information, adequate health care, and the means to pay for that care is limited. By educating the public in these areas, the governments can prevent infectious disease outbreaks and an increase in deaths from lifestyle diseases that are usually spotted and treated by programs more readily available in urban, developed and middle to high income areas.

Low-income families are especially targeted by public health education programs. The group’s inability to afford much more than shelter and food puts them at risk for many health issues. Their living conditions also increase the risk of spread of infectious disease. By educating this group, public health officials can change many of the habits that lead to lifestyle diseases. They can empower this population by arming them with the tools to not only prevent, but to detect, health issues before they become deadly.

Awareness

Awareness is the key to making public health work. When patients become aware of their illness, possible treatment/cures and prevention, staying healthy becomes a possibility. It is this awareness that allows people in areas where health care is limited to seek out the correct means of handling their symptoms or illness. Awareness allows the people to take charge of their individual health, translating into an overall improvement in public health.

Anyone can have a mental illness, regardless of age, gender, race, or income. Mental illnesses are more common than cancer, diabetes, heart disease, or AIDS. It is believed that one in five adults and children has a diagnosable mental disorder, one in every 10 young people age 9 or older has a serious emotional disturbance that severely disrupts daily life.and one in four families will have a member with mental illness. Children who develop depression often have a family history of the illness, many times a parent who had depression at an early age. Untreated mental health problems can lead to suicide, which is the sixth leading cause of death for 5- to 14-year olds. An estimated two-thirds of all young people with mental health problems are not getting the help they need.It is important to remember that mental illness occurs at any age, but most often appears for the first time between the ages of 25 and 44. With proper treatment, most people suffering from a mental illness can return to normal, productive lives, and almost everyone receives some benefit from treatment.

The causes of mental illness are complicated. Mental health disorders in children and adolescents are caused mostly by biology and environment. Examples of biological causes are genetics, chemical imbalances in the body caused by genetics, lack of sleep or poor nutrition, or damage to the central nervous system, such as a head injury, lack of oxygen in child birth and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. Many environmental factors also put young people at risk for developing mental health disorders. Examples including exposure to environmental toxins, such as high levels of lead; exposure to violence, such as witnessing or being the victim of physical or sexual abuse, drive-by shootings, muggings, or other disasters; stress related to chronic poverty, discrimination, or other serious hardships; and the loss of important people through death, divorce, or broken relationships.

The following six preventive services are recommended and can be carried out in a clinic, church, library or local community center:

1. Prenatal and infancy home visits or support groups.

2. Targeted cessation education and counseling for smokers, especially those who are pregnant.

3. Targeted short-term mental health therapy.

4. Self-care education for adults (money management, relationship skills, stress management).

5. Mentoring and adult supervised after-school and weekend programs

6. Brief counseling and advice to reduce alcohol use.

Over the years I have found that finding good information is kind of like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The following links will take you to addictions and mental health sites that have the most current and useful information for addictions counselors, rehabilitation counselors, mental health clinicians, nurses and (of course) program administrators. All of the resources are FREE so you can order copies for your colleagues and/or staff!

Preventive Services in Substance Abuse and Mental Health Update: From Science to Services Special Report: Preventive Interventions Under Managed Care: Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services http://mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/publications/allpubs/SMA00-3437/SMA00-3437ch1.asp Programs and services that prevent substance abuse and mental health disorders have the potential to lessen an enormous burden of suffering and to reduce both the cost of future treatment and lost productivity at work and home. The availability and accessibility of these interventions to the millions of Americans whose health care is provided by managed care organizations depend upon the services’ status as covered benefits.

Quick Guide for Clinicians Based on TIP 47, Substance Abuse: Clinical Issues in Intensive Outpatient Treatment http://ncadistore.samhsa.gov/catalog/productDetails.aspx?ProductID=17615 This pocket-sized booklet concisely presents information from TIP 47, including the principles of intensive outpatient treatment (IOT), the services offered, treatment engagement, clinical issues and challenges, and the approaches used in IOT.

TIP 46: Substance Abuse: Administrative Issues in Intensive Outpatient Treatment http://ncadistore.samhsa.gov/catalog/productDetails.aspx?ProductID=17440 This Treatment Improvement Protocol (TIP), Substance Abuse: Administrative Issues in Outpatient Treatment, was written to help administrators address the changing environment in which outpatient treatment programs operate. The TIP provides basic information about running an outpatient treatment program, including strategic planning, working with a board of directors, relationships with strategic partners, hiring and retaining employees, staff supervision, continuing education and training, performance improvement, outcomes monitoring, and promotion of the program to potential clients, funding agencies, and government officials. More specialized sections address challenges that have emerged and gathered importance in the last decade: preparing a program to provide culturally competent treatment to an increasingly diverse client population and succeeding in a managed care-dominated world by diversifying the funding sources a program draws on.

TIP 45, Detoxification and Substance Abuse Treatment http://ncadistore.samhsa.gov/catalog/productDetails.aspx?ProductID=17398 TIP 45 provides lists and tables related to such topics as initial evaluation domains for clients in detoxification, guidance on assessment and rehabilitation planning, and the management of intoxication and withdrawal from specific substances or substance groups such as alcohol, marijuana, stimulants, and opioids.

TIP 44: Substance Abuse Treatment for Adults in the Criminal Justice System http://ncadistore.samhsa.gov/catalog/productDetails.aspx?ProductID=17183 Research consistently demonstrates a strong connection between criminal activity and substance abuse; research also finds that involvement in substance abuse treatment reduces recidivism for offenders who use drugs. This TIP presents clinical guidelines to assist counselors in dealing with problems that routinely arise because of their clients’ status in the criminal justice system.

Good resources for teachers and parents regarding mental health and addictions can also be hard to come by. Additionally, many parents have a hard time sticking with programs because day-to-day things come up—working late, homework whatever. It is often more effective to use these materials in a group setting. Not only does it allow the parents and children to spend time together, but families can provide social support to one another.
They say that pregnancy is a celebration of womanhood. In fact, it’s a privilege, since not all ladies can actually be given an opportunity to bear children.

That’s why while you still have the capacity to get pregnant, you should start looking into prenatal DHA care.

Okay, what do we mean by this? Your body requires a lot of vitamins and minerals to ensure that it remains healthy. If you’re trying to get pregnant, your body should be more than ready to cater to another human being.

Keep in mind that your baby will be dependent on you for nutrition and basically for survival. You have then to know what types of nutrients you need to take to fulfill your role as a mom.

DHA is one of these essential nutrients. It’s a type of omega3 fatty acid that is responsible for the development of your baby. Going into prenatal DHA care can help you enjoy the following benefits:

1. You can encourage the better development of your baby’s brain and vision. Your baby requires a lot of DHA even when he or she is still in your womb. It will make up at least 1/3 of his or her brain.

If you take in supplements or foods that are already rich in DHA such as walnuts, you already have a good head start. The DHA will also be responsible for the development of your baby’s vision.

2. You can also reduce the amount of iron in your blood. We’re going to make this clear. You definitely need iron in your body, especially when you have a baby.

Without it, you cannot provide enough oxygen supply to your unborn kid. However, too much of it too can be pretty bad for you as it always introduces nausea during the first three months. With a DHA supplement, you can bring down the iron level to something that’s normal.

3. You can ensure yourself that you don’t have to go through post-partum blues. Post-natal blues, or after-birth depression, is very common among mothers. However, it’s not enough reason for you to just let it get into you.

The emotional and psychological issue can prevent you from taking care of yourself and your baby well. It could also develop to severe depression, if you ignore it.

When you have high level of DHA in your body, you can expect to not go through such harrowing ordeal. This is because it can already control your hormonal changes and mood swings. It can also improve the symptoms of depression because of its therapeutic effects.

Find out why pure omega 3 fish oil has more anti-aging health benefits than any other supplement in the world

One of the most important things for a woman to ensure while she is pregnant symptoms is that she remains healthy throughout the the nine-month period.

Would A $1,000 Wal-Mart Gift Card Cheer You UP?!

Preconception planning can map out a possible plan for every step during the pregnant symptoms , including counseling for the couple who wishes to have the child, the possibility of changing the medications currently being used to manage the preexisting condition, and of any changes in diet for the mother-to-be.

There are a number of healthy benefits a women can receive from practicing yoga. Through this form of exercise women are able to build on their strengths and focus on bettering themselves through a calming method of breathing, meditation, and gentle poses.

Here are just some of the healthy benefits that women can get from yoga:

1)Yoga can help enhance your immune system and decrease chances of illnesses. It is believed that yoga can greatly enhance the function of your immune system. This will lead to the more effective curbing of a number of diseases that women normally get. Yoga is also known to be very effective in controlling the level of cholesterol in the body as well as a woman’s blood pressure.

2)For those women who can’t seem to find the time to perform exercises that will help control their cholesterol level and blood pressure, yoga could be very advantageous. This is because yoga makes use of breathing exercises and meditation that could help in calming down nerves that have been stressed by work or daily activities.

3)oga can help bring about a more healthy pregnancy. Although pregnancy brings with it a great deal of happiness, it can also lead to experiencing a lot of discomforts. Yoga can help alleviate these discomforts, which could include backaches, morning sickness, and mood swings. Yoga exercises can also help greatly in maintaining an ideal weight during pregnancy. There are different prenatal poses being practiced in yoga that are recommended for women who are pregnant. These are intended to aid women in preparing their bodies for their babies’ birth.

4)Yoga helps decrease pre-menstrual syndrome symptoms. Menstruation is known to cause a number of hormonal changes among women. These changes as well as the inconveniences they bring often make women uncomfortable. Because of these changes, pre-menstrual syndrome symptoms could also be experienced before, during, and after a menstrual period. These include cramps, mood swings, depression and irritation. These symptoms can be considerably reduced through practicing yoga, which has some poses that could aid in the reduction of pain during menstrual periods.

5)Yoga helps women deal with stress and depression. Because women are emotional in nature, it is expected that they fall victim to stress and depression more than men do. Yoga makes use of meditation, which is a great aid in decreasing the stress and tension levels in the body. Practicing yoga will also help stimulate positive levels of energy.

6)Yoga also helps make the body more flexible. Women tend to lose the flexibility of their bodies faster than men. This is because most of the work that really requires brute physical strength is done by men. Because of this, men’s muscles are known to remain more tight and flexible longer than those of the women. Aside from this, women also lose bone density faster than most men because of the rigors that they go through during childbirth, which could make them lose more calcium, thus leading to making their bones very fragile. Because of this, a woman’s body will begin to lose its flexibility during her thirties. However, this can be delayed by doing yoga exercises.

I. Definition
Unlike conventional medicine, traditional Chinese medicine defines autism as a health condition of five delays, five weakness and middle burner stagnation
1. 5 delays (wuchi) is also meant 5 kinds of retardation in which represent the delay of
a) Hair growth
b) Teeth eruption or development
c) Standing
d) Walking and
e) Speaking

2. 5 weakness (wuruan) is also meant 5 kinds of flaccidity in which represent the weakness and softness of
a) Neck
b) Mouth
c) Upper extremities
d) Lower extremities and
e) Muscles
3. Middle burner stagnation (ganji) is also meant disorders of organs which are located above the belly button and below the heart and lung, including the diaphragm and includes the spleen in which represents
a) Malnutrition and
b) Foods stagnation

II. Symptoms of Autism
Before discussing further, let us recapture the symptoms of autism.
A.
A.C. The disturbance is not better accounted for by Rett’s Disorder or Childhood Disintegrative Disorder

B. Symptoms of Autism in TCM perspective
1. Chronic bronchitis
2. Chronic gastritis
3. Chronic hepatitis
4. Distension of the chest, dizziness
5. Nausea
6. Peptic ulcer
7. Profuse phlegm
8. Schizoid personality behavior
9.Vomiting
10. Anxiety
11. Bitter taste
12. Loss of consciousness
13. Shyness
14. Slight thirst
15. Red tongue
16. Greasy-yellow coating
17. Slippery-rapid pulse
18. Rapid-wiry pulse
19. Etc.
and the list also includes the symptoms of Kidney, spleen and lung deficiency and liver heat and heart yin and qi deficiency as we will mentioned below.

III. General analysis in traditional Chinese perspective (differentiations)
1. Kidney
Kidney essence ( Jing) is vital for fetus develops properly. If the kidney essence ( in this case, it is the prenatal essence) is weak and deficient (that is the case of autism), the fetus is underdeveloped, leading to weakened constitution and internal weather and physical and mental retardation.
a) Kidney produces marrow to fill the brain, this controlling the brain in garnering the intelligence and concentration as well as in charge of a person’s will and determination.
b) Kidney channels opens to the ears
Any hearing disorder can be attributed to kidney qi deficiency
c) Controlling the hair growth
The slow depletion of kidney essence is associated with aging, we have less hair as we get older.
e) In charge of fluid metabolism
The kidneys control the bladder in holding and releasing fluid and for the large and small intestines to separate pure and turbid.
Now we can see how kidney deficiency can cause symptoms of autism by comparing the function of kidney and the symptoms above.
Any disorder related to hearing is attributed to kidney deficiency

2. Spleen
Spleen is an organ responsible for qi and food absorption, transformation and distribution after food intake entering the stomach.
a) Muscles and tissues in the body
It is the organ that helps to nourish and develop the muscles and tissues in the body. Its channel open to the extremities of 4 limbs.
b) One to the mouth
Any function of the mouth is depended to the spleen qi, if the qi is weak, it may affect the blood in tongue nourishment and taste.
c) Mental related problem
It is said that the capacity of thinking and remembering is depended totally psychological activity of spleen. If the spleen can not control the qi and blood that it sends to the brain and heart, leading to forgetfulness and inability to think logically.
d) Control downward moment of the secretion of turbid of bladder, large intestine.
e) Control the upward movement of qi to supply blood and qi movement of heart and lung.

3. Heart
The heart is considered as an emperor of the body organs, because it governs the circulation of blood and qi in transporting the nutrient to the body needs. It is said that the heart control the “shen” (spirit) and open to tongue.
a) Metal activity
Deficiency of heart causes lack of enthusiasm and vitality, mental restlessness, depression, insomnia, despair.
b) Emotional and physical reaction
It controls the movement of body involuntary auto expression such as facial expression, gesture, sighing, body movement, etc.
c) The use of speech
As it open to the tongue.
d) Metal thinking
Such as self awareness, self control, thinking, remembering, censoring the information received.

4. Liver
Liver is considered as an organ in charge of blood formation and storing and assistance of blood circulation through its upright qi. It open to the eye, therefore any disorder of eye related symptoms can be considered as liver abnormal function.
a) Emotion
Any expression of emotion such as anger, resentment, frustration, irritability, bitterness can distort the blood flow through the blood vessel and qi flow through the channels.
b) Digestive tracts (spleen and stomach)
It also controls the downward movement of stomach and upward movement of qi of the spleen.
c) Prenatal energy
Since it links to the prenetrating and conception vessels, it nourishes the yang in men and yin in women, there by helping kidney in regulating the women menstrual cycle and menstruation.
d) Open to the eye
Any eye related disorder is considered to liver problem.
e) Logical thinking
It governs the information collection through precisely thinking before making decision.

5. Lung
Lung is considered as an organ in controlling the qi movement and respiration.
a) Regulating the downward and outward movement
It regulates the downward movement of qi and fluid sent by spleen and spread also expand them to the entire body by discharging waste through sweating.
b) Open to the nose
It controls the breathing and smelling of the human body. Disorders may cause stuffy nose, running nose and inability to smell, leading asthma, coughing, etc.
c) Controlling the skin and hair
As it expands out ward to the entire body, it moistens the hair and skin, thereby reducing the risk of skin diseases and loss of hair.
d) Constrict emotion
Such as grief, sadness, detached, etc.
As we went through the function of 5 zang organs and compare them with the symptoms as we mention in II, we can see that autism not only is caused by congenital deficiency, but also deficiency of all zang fu organs.

IV. Causes of autism
1. External causes
External causes can be classified as prenatal and postnatal causes
a) Prenatal causes
Autism can be caused by physical damage to the kidney of the unborn or emotional stress causes of kidney damage when he or she still in the womb of the mother due to intake of food additives, preservatives or environment pollution.
b) Postnatal causes
i. It may be caused by the intake of man made chemical entering the baby body such as food additives, preservatives, environment pollution, artificial ingredients, etc. and vaccinations’ affects.
ii) It may be caused by the mother diet that affects the baby spleen function in food digestion and absorption, if the mother is breast feeding.
iii) It can be caused by the mother emotional stress the affect the liver qi function in the baby, leading to liver qi stagnation.
2. Prenatal deficiency
For what ever reason, traditional Chinese medicine indicates that prenatal deficiency of autism is caused by emotional stress such as seven emotions: anger, joy, pensiveness, grief, fear, shock and sadness of the mother when the baby still in the womb, leading to kidney qi deficiency and that affects all other organs of the baby before the baby is born.

3. Postnatal disorders
a) Spleen deficiency and symptoms
Since the spleen in the organ in-charge of food essence and qi absorption and qi and fluid transformation and distribution, deficiency of kidney causes excessive accumulation of fluid, leading to dampness in the digestive system that affects the function of kidney in nourishing the body muscles causing muscles underdevelopment that controls the moto skill. Excessive accumulation of dampness also increases the risk of forming of phlegm in the digestive system that causes digestive disorder and affects the stomach in vitamins and mineral absorption, causing malnutritions and foods stagnation.
Symptoms of spleen deficiency include
i) Weakness,
ii) Pale complexion, bright face
iii) Shallow breathing
iv) Low, soft voice
v) Little desire to speak
vi) Poor appetite
vii)Prolonged headache
viii) Fatigue
ix) Etc.

b) Liver heat and symptoms
Liver besides is the organ in blood formation and storing, it also is vital in assisting the heart in blood circulation. If the dampness is allowed to accumulate in a prolong period of time, it may generates liver heat, leading to blood hyperactive that affect the liver function in controlling the emotional factors such as anger, resentment, frustration, irritability, bitterness and logical thinking resulting in symptoms of metal retardation.
Symptoms of liver heat include
i) Headache
ii) Irritability
iii) Anger,
iv) Dizziness
v) Bitter taste in the mouth
vi) Red face and red eyes
vii) sleep disturbance
viii) Insomnia
xi) Constipation
xii) Etc.

c) Heart qi deficiency and symptoms
As we mentioned above, the accumulation of dampness in the baby body for a prolong period of time causes the production of phlegm accumulated in the body organs. If phlegm is accumulated in the heart organ, it may affect the function in controlling metal activity, such as lack of enthusiasm and vitality, mental restlessness, depression, insomnia, despair, leading to symptom of autism.
Symptoms of heart qi deficiency include
i) Shortness of breath and/or
ii) oppression in the chest,
iii) Sweating,
iv) Fatigue
v) Pale complexion,
vi) Avoid connect with people,
vii) Difficult making conversation,
viii) trouble with intentional communication
ix) Lack of emotion.
x) Etc.

d) Heart yin deficiency and symptoms
Heart yin may be deficiency if the dampness is accumulated for a prolong period of time, it causes the rise of heat or heat generated due to liver qi deficiency to move blood smoothly through the blood vessels, leading to hypertension that causes the inability in controlling self awareness, self control, thinking, remembering, censoring the information received.
Symptoms of heart yin deficiency include
i) Palpitations,
ii) Irritability, dream disturbed
iii) Sleep disturbance, easily startled,
iv) Insomnia
v) Anxiety
vi) Restless
vii) Sweating
viii) Dry mouth, throat, and lips, cankers of the tongue,
ix) Avoid public speaking,
x) Difficulty in meaningful speech
xi) Poor memory
xii) Fever
xiii) Etc.

e) Kidney deficiency and symptoms
As we mention many time, kidney is the organ that control the development of the baby. Deficiency of kidney either caused by prenatal or postnatal health conditions affect the growth of the bone and marrow of the baby, leading to delay of hair growth, teeth eruption or development, standing, walking and speaking.
Symptoms of kidney deficiency include
i) Late puberty
ii) Fatigue
iii) Weakness and dizziness,
iv) Night sweats or cold extremities
v) Delayed development in children
vi) Constitutional weakness
vii) Disorders of urination
viii) Etc.

f) Lung qi deficiency and symptoms
As the kidney no long function in moving qi and fluids upward, it affects the function of lung qi in controlling the downward movement to support the entire body system and respiration that affect the lynax function in phonetic development, leading to delay of speech. On the other hand, deficiency of lung qi can cause depletion of the fluids of the lungs or heat generated due to over accumulated of dampness, thus increasing the risk of catching cold and bacteria and virus.
Symptoms of lung qi deficiency include
Cough
i) Fatigue
ii) Asthma
iii) Cough
iv)Shortness of breath
v) Tiredness
vi) Weak and low voice
vii) Watery sputum
viii) Lack of vitality
ix) Weaken immune system
x) Etc.
