Blood Sugar issues and 28 weeks pregnant?

Ok, I have a few questions, I have already talked to my OB and to the Labor RN and am getting really confused. I get these attacks that cause me to get really dizzy, see cloudy, get disoriented, sweaty and really shaky. Most times I can get my feet in the air before I pass out but I have passed out 3 times already. They are not sure what these attacks are. My Blood pressure is great, my iron and all blood work is great. I had my 1 hour glucose test done and never heard anything so I’m guessing they are alright. But I do take my Blood sugar and sometimes when I feel this way it’s 112 and other times is 58. So I’m guessing sometimes it’s my blood sugar. So they told me to eat up to 8 times a day. Well it’s not working. I ate a nutrigrain bar, 2 eggs and turkey sausage for breakfast and my Blood sugar was 60 an hour later. I’m starting to worry about this because I’m afraid to go anywhere ’cause I’m afraid I will pass out. I have a history of Panic and Anxiety so I don’t know if that’s what’s happening too. This all started at 20-21 weeks pregnant. I’m on no meds except prenatal vitamin. Can anyone help me out, and if this is normal than what the heck am I suppose to eat? Fruit and Juice all cause my blood sugar level to drop within an hour. Can hypoglycemia show up only from pregnancy? What’s the difference between Panic attacks and Hypoglycemia? Any help is appreciated. If this is hypoglycemia then how come after I eat something it takes like an hour to feel normal again? The Drs are all stumped. Thanks, God Bless

My husband and I decided to start trying next summer for kids (I’m almost 28, he is 32). Yet, I think I want to go off my birth control now (ortho-tricyclene lo), even though I’m not sure we’re ready. I have always been hesitant about kids, but I think my biological clock keeps telling me stuff.

Plus my mom had trouble conceiving. She was in the midst of adoption and was doing fertility drugs before my older sister came along.

I’m 13 weeks pregnant and i have extreme migraines. I’ve always had migraines but since becoming pregnant i get it more often. My OBGYN prescribed me some medications. ON Sunday morning I went to fill my prescription along with my prenatal medication, and the pharmacist was very hesitant about given me the medication. He told me this medication is part of the FDA pregnancy risk Category C. There’s been reports of babies being born with physical abnormalities. Women who’ve taking this medication during their 3rd trimester have had infants who had seizures due to the withdrawal and they get ventilatory depression. He really didnt want me to take the medicine. I didn’t take it. I called my doctor today and he said it was fine. I don’t even know what to do. The medicine contains acetaminophen, butalbital and caffeine.

Anyone taken Lexapro 20mg while pregnant?

I’m 8 weeks along and I’m still on Lexapro. They say not to take this into the 3rd trimester but I am wondering how I am going to deal with my depression if I go off of it? has anyone here experienced taking Lexapro while pregnant too? Have you stayed on it your whole pregnancy? My first prenatal appt isn’t until 2 weeks from now. Any answers from others with experience is welcome.

Thanks, T
I think I have decided that I will cut back slowly – first from 20 mg then go backward until I am down to 5mg. I’m going to talk to my doctor about this when I go see her on the 29th but I may see my regular doctor that prescribes it for me before then. Thanks for all who replied! – T

I have been suffering the worst depression for the last month. Its to the point where its affecting my marriage and job. I go to the doctor next week for my next prenatal appointment. Can my doctor prescribe me anything for it? Is there anything safe? And is it normal to suffer from depression?
Thanks!!

pregnant (maybe) but no symptoms?

so next week im going to take a test. i took one 2 weeks ago but it was only a week after we had sex but i was really worried. (it came out negative obviously)
so next week it will be four weeks…just to be clear.

anyways, besides from mood swings and an anxiety attack last night, nothing feels different or looks different (boob-wise).

In the start of my pregnancy, it was rough, because it was not expected, and it was hard for my boyfriend to accept. After a few weeks, I was happy about it, and he grew happy too. We went and bought little things here and there. My boyfriend is supportive & now is excited to find out the sex, and is taking part in my prenatal visits, and growing into ‘being a dad’.

Me, on the other hand…..
